Pani ... New ART-9 up and running ... Dodgealum, get ready for a pleasant surprise :-)
Amplifier for Tannoy Turnberry GR Mmarshall, if you like the Bryston sound (which is a bit dry and uninterestingly clean), go for it. Else I would suggest something like a Naim, LFD or a Pass First Watt F6, all of which are more harmonically richer and closer to a good tube amp.
Pani ... New ART-9 up and running ... Dodgealum, the ART9 is the only $1k cartridge that sounds like a $5k cart.
Recommend A More Dynamic Monitor Than Harbeth C7 The only Harbeth which preserves some level of tonal accuracy is the P3ES. All the other bigger Harbeths add their own special flavour to it (some kind of dark thickness).Merlin is nice but you need to go to their TSM floorstander.

Pani ... New ART-9 up and running ... Bill_k, if it continues to stay that cheap in the US, its a good news for all we AT fans. Though I doubt that will happen.

Build a TT based set up for $5K Is there a way to delete a post when you realize its too late to suggest ?? :-)
Build a TT based set up for $5K Most systems suggested in this thread are great starters! My personal preference though is a Rega TT over a VPI every time. Rega gets the musical timing much better than VPI.For phonostage PS Audio GCPH is great if you get used else get a Lehmann B... |
