1 piece of audio gear I really regret selling is.. I sold a pair of Montana SP2 II speakers to a buddy years ago. I ended up buying them back. Sold them again. Then bought another pair. I eventually moved on to larger Montana speakers, the SPX and EPS2. But I never recreated the magic of their lit...
Records, CDs, Streaming 70/30 split between streaming ripped files/Qobuz and spinning vinyl. It's not that I think the digital side sounds better, they are pretty equal. It's just that I'm getting lazier in my old age.
Most beautiful turntable under $5k @spiritofradio I have the same table and I agree, it is very nice to look at. Unfortunately your pictures didn’t post. It’s a shame that audiogon won’t allow posting of pictures from your device. The method they use is archaic.
I heard a costly system from Esoteric. More than likely the headphone output on the amplifier was added as a convenience feature and not intended for serious listening. You were probably hearing the shortcomings of that inferior output and not the CD player or amp. But it is the re...
Magnepan and Bob Carver Raven amps I ran 1.6s with 100 tube watts years ago. That same amp would NOT power the 3.5r. But with 400 watts on tap you should have no problem with the 3.7s.
Most beautiful turntable under $5k Without a doubt... the Montegiro Lusso is/was the most outstanding turntable ever looking at it. Hideous. It might sound like the angel's trumpet, but it looks like hammered dog s&*t....
Cornwall IV speaker placement guidance There certainly are better speakers out there, but not many at the price you paid .
Subwoofer between speakers? I had my subs between my speakers and my rack, slightly behind the speakers. But things really came together when I put them in the corners.
DENAFRIPS DAC ---- Owner Impressions, Feedback, General Discussion, Questions and more.... Still very happy with my Pontus II.
Cornwall IV speaker placement guidance I agree with jon, your placement looks pretty good. I thought they sounded better a couple of feet out from the corners. Extreme toe in as in your picture works well, but experiment here, because this is subjective. They are very sensitive to toe ...
Will you hear the most beautiful music... it's 2022, the Earth is on fire, partly for our addiction to meat. This post is really obscene. WTF, over......?
Please settle a bet! Do you think audio opinions of anonymous strangers is any better?
klipsch cornwall iv upgraded crossovers Crites does not make a xover for the CW IV. And even if they did, xovers are not what they do well. First hand experience here. @eoj4952 Contact Don through his website. He would probably be more than willing to share what he did, he's a good guy...
klipsch cornwall iv upgraded crossovers Seek out Don Sachs. He upgraded CW IV xovers and was ecstatic about it.
Denver and Front Range furniture maker -- just did my audio rack! You did good. You would not have been able to purchase such a rack from any of the high end boutique rack makers for that $$. I paid more for my Butcher Block Acoustics rack and it is very similar to yours in looks and size. |
