I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
There must be some kind of way out of here...
Do these look similar?
It certainly looks similar to me, but so what!  When you buy a Wilson loudspeaker you're paying for design/research, dealer support and an exotic cabinet.  They use quality drivers, but not state of the art.  The amp is probably made to their spec...
UGH...The tired, "BEST" Rock guitarist thread
There's no questioning EvH's brilliance as a musician.  He was the real deal, although he probably didn't produce music equivalent to his talent level.  On the other hand Ted Nugent as a guitar player is a footnote.  A fine entertainer, but his pl...
Are AI Equipment Reviews on the Horizon?
@artemus_5, I think you miss the point.  The AI program writes a fictional review that can fool real readers into thinking it was written by a human. The fact that it is written about wine/beer is besides the point and the AI could just as easily ...
Why Do You Post?
I'm glad people are here to exchange ideas, primarily about music and music reproduction, and sometimes even on other topics.  I've learned much about both here.  The downside is I've learned about some aspects of human nature too.  A small inconv...

@russ69 I didn't say the measurements have to be great, they can just be good.  Good is more than acceptable.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
Atmasphere has numerous posts about amplifier harmonic distortion and listener perception.  Simply stated, vanishingly low harmonic distortion is not necessary.  The harmonic spectrum and linearity of the distortion are more important.  So whether...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Lush is still one of my favorites.  On vinyl 4AD had many Porky Prime Cut masterings.
Why Do You Post?
OWG  Enough said.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
The fact that one component can measure better than another isn't the point of my earlier comment.  I believe audiophiles should not have to accept poorly measuring equipment.  The tube equipment that I see measured in Stereophile actually measure...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
Rather than measures well, let's substitute reliability.  Just for this example high reliability equipment works as designed every time and low reliability equipment only works 50% of the time.  So wouldn't you want to move on from the equipment t...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
But isn't there enough gear that measures reasonably well and sounds pretty good that we can move on from poorly measuring equipment regardless of how it sounds?
Sub Pairing With Harbeth 40.3 XDs
You don't need a subwoofer(s), but a parametric EQ.  For most pop/rock music the punch in the kick drum is in the mid-bass frequencies, say 100 to 160Hz.
How do you judge audio components and speakers?
Don't lose your cold, I'm just bustin' balls.  (See I just did it again!)  And you only BB people you like. You post a lot about what people don't understand about room acoustic that you've figured out.  Plus how misguided others are to spend so ...
How do you judge audio components and speakers?
This may be an idiotic comment made by an ignorant person, but why don't you post updated pictures of your system and room?  And yeah, I'm talking to you!
