Scratch - The Crusaders
@djtalsky, thanks for posting.  Mr. Felder was also a terrific bass player.  Here he is on the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back".  Literally, a great, great talent!
Is this a scam?
He sends you fictitious money and you're going to refund him real money?  What until he starts screaming and hollering before you take any action. I saw this in a David Mamet movie -- the conman doesn't ask you for your trust, but instead gives y...
I'm at the pearly gates and they tell me I can only bring in one jazz cd
Hell would be where they don’t play the John Coltrane but the Julie Andrews version. My choice would be Ellington "1940 Live From the Crystal Ballroom Fargo, North Dakota".

Years of research and testing reveals a surprising finding... jjss49, thank you!  That's really funny.
Was my friend given misinformation.
Oh, I get it now.  This is a post where audiophiles can unload and feel superior to the unwashed masses.  The AVR is a POS, it has too many features, it has no place in a serious system, it's a bad system, it's a joke, etc. If he also spends thou...

Is your friend happy with his purchases?
Why Is Hi Fi Gear So Darn Expensive?

Ridiculous sale
It's called capitalism and it's driven by self-interest.  If someone buys it at that price, then it's a fair transaction.  Greed is good, right?

All the lonely people where do they all come from?
Cable curmudgeon
When I first started out I couldn’t hear much, if any, differences between wires and CD players, but with time and experience they become obvious and much easier to hear and appreciate. Could be that you got better at listening, or possibly, yo...

Way too much anger directed against someone's actual experience. +1 clearthinker
Is This the Essence of "The Audiophile Dilemma?
Not everybody is on an epic journey.  I suspect many just want to get something that sounds good so they can listening to music.  Every now an then they'll start a post along the lines of "have there been any improvements since 1992?"
Chill Out; Get Outside of yourself
Thank you for a marvelous thread! @clearthinker why do you pollute this wonderful thread with your anger and insecurities? Photo above looks like a great location for a new lo-comfort prison for the fraudster scumbags in another post today.  P...
Many higher end preamps are dated and ugly, why is this?
Audiophiles discussing whether audio components are pretty and/or sexy -- is this a rejected SNL skit?
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief...
