RMAF 2016 Thank you. Too bad for me as I am interested in the horning speakers. Better to find out now certainly. That Marriott has been very due for remodel.
KEF Reference 1 I think highly of KEF's Uni-Q driver and have been considering it for my next speaker. It has an and excellent frequency response and even dispersion. I would guess the Reference 1 does not need much side-wall treatment to sound great.
Anyone use a subwoofer system with YG Carmel One feature I personally appreciate about yg is their sealed enclosure. I wouldn't add a ported sub.
Wilson Yvette Sorry for the delay in answering questions. I listened to the Sabrina a couple of times in close field. I thought it was more coherent, like better time-aligned than Sophia. Sabina plays taller than the speakers are. My local dealer, Audio Concept...
Wilson Yvette Oh, man. I messed up my post. Yvette and Sophia III* have similar dimension and charts. "When is the release of the Yvette supposed to happen?"I think they are "released", but do not know when dealers will have them. I asked mine on facebook. We'l...
Has anyone had any luck with Lovan equipment racks? Ikea Lack for a stand is decently known. The end user usually has to modify it for their use. Sound-wise they are impeccable for the money, and far better than rodded MDF shelves.
The Best of Fellow Audiophiles. A long time ago when I was barely in to this hobby Albert Porter lent to me a power cord as an educational point. I was struck by this favor because he barely knew me.
Placing B&W 805S bookshelf speakers (stands? risers?) Sound Anchors should have solution for you. http://soundanchors.com/products/hi-fi-home-theater
What are some smaller names that compete with the big names in Audio? Cool. I bet I would like them. Interesting the Canadian importer lists Piega, which has a fairly similar design but with ribbon tweeters.
What are some smaller names that compete with the big names in Audio? I am sometimes frustrated by poor product distribution, like with Brodmann and dc10audio. I liked Brodmann’s piano and piano vocal demonstration, but of course they should be great at that type of music. The design is a little funny, so not sure i...
Visit to Magnolia Proves Interesting In relation to the T3 compared to the other speakers you auditioned, I agree that you got an excellent deal. I have not heard the T2. These speakers are a homogenous group;. There are more interesting designs around $10k; unfortunately they harde...
Speaker Driver Material & The Sound of Dissimilar Materials Soundwaves are what people hear in which there is a frequency and time element. Try investigating harmonics (distortion) and ASDR envelope. There is difference between free vibration of an insturment and forced vibration of speaker.
What makes an expensive speaker expensive ctsooner, thank you for the direct response.
What makes an expensive speaker expensive What are the prices of vandersteen replacement drivers? Who makes them? You say paper cones have a lot of breakup? Can you please give example of driver and speaker model? I do not regularly see it as a direct problem for end user. I also looked u...
Any thoughts on a solid hickory platform under my tt I was just looking elasticity and density on another site. Its a little more dense but also little more rigid, which is offsetting in simple resonance equation, so hard to say. Wood isn't so homogenous in all directions either. Going to be close i... |
