Tonearm suggestions for my Nottingham Analogue Spacedeck
@uberwaltz I'd say try the Jelco 850S (I use and love the 12" 850L) but I'm curious about your take on  the Audiomods. Buy it and let us all know if it's any good!
Bought some `Vintage Gear`
@pawlowski6132 You can see the gear under my Profile/Virtual Systems.
Bought some `Vintage Gear`
Most of mine is refurbished vintage. Turntable is from 1966, cartridge 1987, power amps 1959, speakers 1960.
Song (or music) you want played at your funeral.
Albinoni/Giazotto - Adagio In G Minor Original Gary Karr version on full range rig.
Question about background noise
I have a few original recordings from Julie London, Ketty Lester et al and you can easily hear tape hiss stopping and starting between tracks and takes. This would often be removed when remastered.
Turntable Hum
Try removing and reseating the cartridge pin leads.
H.H Scott 460A Integrated Amp
For vintage amps, look instead at rebuilt 50s-70s tube amps instead like EICO HF81 or HF35, Heathkit W5M, Leak ST20, Quad II etc.

Whats on your turntable tonight?
@tomic601 Good to know! Make sure you get the originals on discogs etc. rather than remastered copies.
Tonearms: Ripoff?
@dhcod I have the same cartridge as you in my main table - a Decca London Super Gold with a Paratrace stylus - mounted in a 12" Jelco 850.Could you kindly describe the different tonearms you moved through and the differences wrought?
Tonearms: Ripoff?
You won't be ripped off with the 850L. GEM Dandy have the best price.
Does anything better Jelco arm ~$1000
The Micro Seiki sag. Caused by the rubber bending. Probably not the end of the world. But you know that from your research. Jelco and its OEM arms use rubber stems for the c/w. It may be for 2 reasons. 1. It's cheaper. 2. to absorb resonances. I r...
Tube Amps Watts vs SS amp
It's most likely been already covered but a watt is a watt whether it is sand or glass. All other factors will influence how amps work in their installations but a Watt is the same no matter where it comes from.

@gpdavis1 I use the 850L and it’s very good. I have heard the Sorane ZA12 at $2500 and it is excellent. But now you are up there. You could also check out the Groovemaster ll at around $1850. These arms are best with low compliance cartridges.What...
