Possible turntable upgrade....
I heard the MW REAL at AXPONA and it sounded great. I thought it would sound "rubbery" and damped from reading about it but it was detailed and very clear sounding. Impressive and it was in use by a number of dealers.
Possible turntable upgrade....
PS. You can add massive bearing and brass platter to the CTC 301 for another $2500 for even better performance.

Had a LP12/Ittok for years and one day tried a beat up Garrard 401 with an inexpensive Jelco 750. It so changed the presentation of music that I couldn't go back to the Linn. Few years later, I now have two rebuild and somewhat upgraded Garrard 40...
Alert, Warning, and Caution about Modified Components
I like all the adjectives. Clearthink's post always give me a laugh.
What are important features in a listening chair
I had to put my chair up on 4x4s to get my ears at the center of the ESL point source hot spot.
Bought some `Vintage Gear`
Not a fan of Japanese 70s solid state multi-button integrated amps. Junkers most of them.
Music room dimensions
Golden ratio. Length + width divided by length = 1.618.20’ x 14’ would be a starting point.
Tonearm suggestions for my Nottingham Analogue Spacedeck
@uberwaltz I'd say try the Jelco 850S (I use and love the 12" 850L) but I'm curious about your take on  the Audiomods. Buy it and let us all know if it's any good!
Bought some `Vintage Gear`
@pawlowski6132 You can see the gear under my Profile/Virtual Systems.
Bought some `Vintage Gear`
Most of mine is refurbished vintage. Turntable is from 1966, cartridge 1987, power amps 1959, speakers 1960.
Song (or music) you want played at your funeral.
Albinoni/Giazotto - Adagio In G Minor Original Gary Karr version on full range rig.
Question about background noise
I have a few original recordings from Julie London, Ketty Lester et al and you can easily hear tape hiss stopping and starting between tracks and takes. This would often be removed when remastered.
Turntable Hum
Try removing and reseating the cartridge pin leads.
H.H Scott 460A Integrated Amp
For vintage amps, look instead at rebuilt 50s-70s tube amps instead like EICO HF81 or HF35, Heathkit W5M, Leak ST20, Quad II etc.
