Turntable for a Newbie!
@lalitk Your system is absolutely beautiful. Check out my turntable in systems. That’s the minimum you need to do justice to your rig. It is also possible that your gear will show up the shortcomings of lower-end turntables...
Turntable for a Newbie!
Agreed, but the Pioneer is half the price of the cheapest Technics. A word of warning to the OP. "Experiencing vinyl" is not inexpensive. It really only comes into its own at a much higher price point. So when you hear about all the good things, c...

’Not really’ means that taste and cultural preferences are not relevant to the actual sound quality. I am rejecting that as a factor in the equation. My hypothesis is thus: Unless there are physiological and/or psycho-acoustic reasons, the quality...

Thanks again @chakster .There are two questions raised in this whole quandary. 1. What is the quality of the sound produced in a system where the damping is such that the music appears to be either bright, lively, detailed, and transparent or soun...

Ethernet cable vs wifi for high definition audio streaming
If you can run on ethernet, make sure you're using a gigabit router. While a direct run is preferable, you can insert a gigabit network switch (not a hub) to "split" the data.
Vinyl “Pops & Clicks” eliminators
I should add that, for my own listening pleasure, I'll take the crackle with the additional transparency over suppression/processing.
Vinyl “Pops & Clicks” eliminators
I heard the Sweet Vinyl at AXPONA and was suitably impressed. We did AB testing and while I could hear a difference, it was not significant - a very slight veiling when click suppressed. .
