Guest suddenly takes it upon herself to move my speakers At least you had a woman in your space. I hope you got what she came for.
Sent Back the Pro-ject Turntable: What would be the best option in the $1800 range? I second the Polytable (with Jelco 850) as an alternative to the GR.
$3000 stand mounted speakers? ATC SCM11/2. Consider adding a small REL sub in a corner. Don’t tell her it’s there.

Terrible loss to the jazz world RIP. The good and intelligent die young.
Albums that you listen to straight through / start to finish whenever you put them on! Almost always play both sides. Doubles generally one disk on a given day. Exceptions are when the music isn't worthy and It goes back in the bag.
Whats on your turntable tonight? @spiritofradio Not a fan of 16HP?Tallest Man voice not for me.RIP Lyle.
Square living room--12x12 Open.
Audiophile Bass? Rubber feet allow the speaker to move around just enough to smear the sound. Now try solid core speaker cable.
maintenance Probably not. Smog maybe?
Whats on your turntable tonight? Black Heart Procession - Three (Touch & Go 2000)Alone in the basement. Saw them live.
Whats on your turntable tonight? William Ackerman - Passage (Windham Hill 1981)Remember New Age? "a digital recording" subtitled on the cover. I bought this when it came out. Guitar and atmospheric cello and piano. I shall go and look into the misty woods and return presently. |
