@bydlo re the Ti screws being lighter, the small sound difference could be caused by moving the counterweight closer to the pillar.

Very satisfied for the most part. It would be nice to test new arms and cartridges, or swap in a test phono amp etc. I guess it's like fancying a bit of strange but hanging with what you've got.

There’s a "10-band Graphic Equalizer" in your Sony head. Try adjusting that and/or the Xovers.

In fact, I'm amazed for what passes as acceptable.  I understand hotel rooms and noisy power are not conducive to extracting the best from equipment. I have found that with a few exceptions,  rooms using turntables sound better.

Most expensive systems at shows or at dealers do little to wow me to the point where I'd prefer them to my own.

The 150/150 solution sounds like the only cure apart from getting a car that doesn't rattle so much.
