@hoghead1  Tube rolling is where it's at. I swapped the power tubes in a power supply and it is night and day. You might try new Tung Sol 7581A in place of the 6L6GC.

@tomic601 I'm going to add a DPDT switch so I can switch between both supplies. I'll then get a better perspective. It's interesting. Changing the power tubes makes huge differences to the presentation. It's a definite improvement in some areas - ...

Lots of records all day today. So I added a vintage all tube rectified and  regulated power supply to my Croft phono amp. Basically replaced the HT power transformer and cheap rectifier diodes with the output from a high-quality lab supply.
