Opinions on NAD please
I own the NAD M33; I am quite pleased with it.   It is well built of quality components, nice feature set, loads of flexibility, and it sounds really good.   In terms of sound quality, I prefer my Krell K300i which is a bit more musical, warm, wit...
Looking for integrated solid state amp for daily usage
I own both the NAD Masters M33 and the Krell K300i.   Both are excellent and well built.   The NAD is a bit more friendly as it also has a Blue-OS streamer built-in whereas the Krell requires an external streamer (Innuos Mini Mk3).   Sonically the...
Rythmik or REL Subs to pair with Totem Element Metal V2?
I can only surmise, that the 12's should work fine, but they won't dig as deep with effortless authority like the 15's do (or at least they are spec'd to do).    A slammer room will constrain the bass you can get no matter the speakers, so you are...
Rythmik or REL Subs to pair with Totem Element Metal V2?
I just wanted to close the loop and report on what I did….  Ok, I went with the dual Rythmik E15HP2 subs.   Adjustments and controls galore.   I can’t imagine being unable to pair these with about anything.   Following the Rythmik guide, I had the...
Speaker for 11x12 room
+1 on the Joseph Audio. I’d also consider Totem Element Fire V2 or the Fritz Carbon (all used, of course). But that’s for my tastes. What do you want out of a speaker or e correctly, what audible characteristics do you aspire to in your music repr...
Musical subwoofer under $2000
I just acquired a pair of new Rythmik F15HP2 Subwoofers.   I’ve only had them a day.   Paired them with my Totem Element Metal V2, which I think share some pleasant similarities with your Sonus Faber.   I am very pleased with the various tools o...
Rythmik or REL Subs to pair with Totem Element Metal V2?
I’ve been emailing with the people at Rythmik and they are talking me into dual E15HP2 subwoofers.   I’ll place the order tomorrow, barring unforeseen problems. Fingers crossed and Merry Christmas to me.   And Happy Holidays to you all.  Thank yo...
Rythmik or REL Subs to pair with Totem Element Metal V2?
Great feedback, thank you.   So far, that’s 100% for a pair of Rythmik subs!
when your hearing is not as good as it was . . .
I’m 64 and I can directly attribute my hearing loss to one specific concert, a great garage band by the name of Netherworld when they played at a community college campus in Los Gatos CA.   Anyway, I love music.   Don’t lose heart.   I equalize to...
Is there such a thing as a good medium priced music streamer?
+1 on the Innuos Zen Mini Mk3.   It’s a streamer, it’s a CD ripper with SSD storage, it’s a DAC, and it can be a Roon Core.   And it also runs Sense.   I am a happy owner of one and can highly recommend it.   I’ve used it in all of the functions m...
Are you on or off? What say you?
I’m neither on nor off the Merry-go-round.   I love my music and my systems that present it.   I’m also open to new ideas and equipment to improve the presentation.  Sometimes I shop and buy, sometimes I don’t.
Martin Logan vs. Everything
ML and any open baffle/dipole/planar speaker are a different animal.   Not better or worse, just different.   Some people love them, others don’t.    It’s your ears, don’t let other’s opinions influence yours, particularly if they are biased again...
Ethernet Switch Recommendations Please
I have the LHY SW10 and the SW8.   I heard a noticeable improvement over standard Ethernet data switches.   I’ve not compared them to other audio Ethernet switches.    Good Hunting!
Higher-End Class A/B vs. Class A Integrateds
@NickTheKnife,   I agree that a proper integrated or preamp should have a volume knob.   The Krell 300i has buttons instead (not as good as a knob) and it has a great remote.   I just use the remote, so it works for me.
Higher-End Class A/B vs. Class A Integrateds
You might consider a used Krell K300i integrated.   The first watts are Class A then the rest are class A/B.   I don’t recall the actual cutover, but it’s pretty high.   I own one and love it.   Smooth, warm (not bloomy), extended highs, and massi...
