Creek, Rega, Oppo CD Player/DAC I can't speak for the OPPO BDP-105 but I do have the BDP-103 and prefer CDs when played on my Marantz SA-15S2b.Go figure. All the best,Nonoise
grills or no grills on your speakers..matters? 1) When I'm being taken away from all that ails me in this world via my system, I don't see the speakers, so the question is moot.2) My speakers didn't come with grills, so again, moot.3) If I had speakers with grills, just the thought that the gr...
A New Superstar Power Cord I've read nothing but great things about the Less Loss PCs and am happy that you're enjoying it but be prepared for the inevitable. :-)All the best,Nonoise
The last 6 feet - is it important? Hiendmuse+1.Forget about all you hear about all those miles, towers and transformers your power must overcome before it arrives at your outlet. What is measured at the outlet is what your system sees. All the best,Nonoise
A speaker so loud it can kill you I was at a Rage Against the Machine concert at the Universal Ampitheater and the whole place was shaking from the music and the crowd in the most unsettling manner. On top of that, the bass was so loud that I swear my hearbeat started to change an...
Speaker cable made you say: Tempo Electric speaker cables replaced my trustworthy Mapleshade Double Helix. I've always wanted to try silver cables since I had such great results with the Darwin Silver ICs. They are everything the Mapleshades are and more, in every parameter ...
CD Player Recommendations for Dynaudio speakers I like my Marantz SA-15S2b and think it would work for you. Try someone like Music Direct with a 30 day return policy and see if it floats your boat.:-)All the best,Nonoise

Why speaker lines come and go It's awful difficult for the smaller players to get the word out as it costs upwards of $15,000 for a whole page add in one of the mags and $5,000-$10,0000 for internet sites. I'd assume that lots of quality product has gone by the wayside due to ...
"Slam"--what is it, is it really accurate? Slam can startle and slam can be subtle. It doesn't take much for certain notes to energize a room so it's not all in the purview of bass notes and loudness (volume). It's only because bass and loudness have been the topic of many a discussion whe...
Tempo Electric speaker cables Nothing like posting a third follow up to thread but here goes.About three days ago I noticed a deepening of the reach of the music. It was while playing the soundtrack to Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. I am getting more impact while retaining ...
Marantz Pearl Lite for LS50, or.. Butt, thanks for your take on the pairing of the KEF LS50 and the Marantz as I'm considering a move to a different speaker and the KEF R900 or R700 is on my radar. From what I can recall from the last Newport Audio show, the KEFs sounded really ni...
Is 10AWG copper wire sufficient I would think something like 16 gauge would be sufficient. Having multiple strands that would sum up to 10 gauge is quite different from a single strand of 10 gauge. All the best,Nonoise
Looking for great cable I second the Darwin Silver ICs and staying in the silver camp, I went for the Tempo Electric silver speaker cables. An 8' length will run you less than $400 and the level of increase is on par with the Darwin ICs, I kid you not. They will be bright... |
