Nobody's mentioned it and it's not the "Greatest" of all time by any means. But the Rare Earth's Live Album was played to death on my player in the early 70's. (It's the one that looked like saddle bags)  
I miss my Loudness Button and Tone Controls....
For those on here that use surround sound formats, the Lyngdorfs MP-40..50 and 60’s all have Tone controls. Bass and Treble and they are adjustable. You can set the Bass adjustments at whatever you wish,,, Adjustments centering’s @ at 50, or 350, ...

I’ve had the Tekton Double Impacts, the Ascend Acoustic Towers with Raal like you’re looking at and currently Legacy Focus SE’s. For what you’re wanting I’d go with the Ascends. The only reason I upped the ante to the Focus’s was SPL and headroom....
