Whats playing on your system today?
Cowboy Junkies - Trinity Sessions. Just got the CD. $4.I really like a few of the songs and generally dislike a few.Lay It Down remains my favorite of their albums. Seems more mature musically and lyrically. Is also well produced.

I just got the CD in the mail. SQ is way better than my streaming set up/ YouTube/ Amazon Music.Production quality seems generally good to me. Maybe not great though. The sibilance on the Sweet Jane track seems to be more of an issue there than on...

@douglas_schroeder : what source are you referring to?
Ask the local curmudgeon (me) anything related to tech or liquor. :)
Cooks Country rated the Breville blender as the best. And much better than the more expensive Ninja and VitaMix blenders. Waring was always considered the best blenders for years and probably still are, at least in terms of build quality and consi...
Speaker Setup.....
I'm kind of wondering if this isn't what one might eventually end doing either intuitively or by trial and error?Anyway, I'd like to try it methodically as described but my speakers weigh 130 pounds and are on spikes. It would take a significant p...
Should manufacturers provide circuit schematics & parts list?
Fortunately I have been able to easily find all of the FSMs (factory service manuals) for my Nissans and Infinitis for free on the internet. As mentioned, my tractor service manual was more expensive and combined with the illustrated parts list was...

The CD for this album has very high dynamic range across all songs which, it seems to me, would be very important for an album as generally quiet and understated as this. As such it should sound excellent. I’m going to get a copy of the CD.Edit: F...
Adam Ben Ezra - Pin Drop
I gave it a try. Streaming. Sonically it sounds well produced and would be good stuff for exercising your system. It's not my cup of tea. Too abstract and too modern. That's just me.
Human Loudspeaker Review Thread Was Removed
I have founds that the mods here delete first and ask questions....well, never. There is no reason a review by a member should be removed. And if that is the policy of Audiogon I'll probably move on for good.
Should manufacturers provide circuit schematics & parts list?
I don't think liability is an issue. The auto manufacturers have all put their service manuals out there for free. If there isn't liability there then there surely won't be in a piece of audio equipment.
Should manufacturers provide circuit schematics & parts list?
I recently paid $15 for an original paper service manual/schematic for my 1980's Toshiba receiver just to find out voltage for the lights that had burned out. I could not find a PDF on line.So yes, I wish all components came with service manuals/s...
Does anyone pay the same attention to their car audio?
Both of my primary vehicles have 'nice' OEM systems in them (09 Infiniti G37S Coupe, 2015 Nissan Titan Pro4X). They sound good to me for the environment they are in.I listen to music pretty much all the time that I'm driving.Having said that, I ha...

"Why don’t my $500 speaker cables sound 500 times better than lamp cord?"Who can say? For all we know you might have $500 lamp cords. And trust me, if you don't, you should. It makes all the difference in the world. "Why the hell does $500 whisky...
