The Good Stuff
I was introduced to The Gospel at Colonus from its airing on PBS (a DVD was later released but no longer available). The story of Oedipus set to gospel music is irresistible. I saw it performed live in the 1990's, with some of the original cast in...

@georgeab, Qobuz has most or all of the Linn Records catalog (several hundred albums). Try this:https://play.qobuz.com/label/1950872Keep scrolling and it will dynamically load more at the bottom until it runs out.
Honest Experience on Effects of Subwoofer Please
I suppose REL subs implement the high pass crossover or filter. No. REL's design philosophy is not use a high pass crossover with their subwoofers. https://rel.net/blog/2021-03-24/principles-of-sound/what-is-a-high-pass-filter-and-why-doesnt-re...
Streaming network issues - need a geek
The TV must be operating at 2K Even lower. 6 Mbps is just enough for 1080p and may drop to 720p when the connection isn't reliable. I'm skeptical that your issue is caused by bandwidth limiting. Your connection may be simply too slow. As @yage...
Streaming network issues - need a geek
6 Mb/s isn’t enough for 4K video (not even close). You’re able to watch video because it’s dropping down to a lower resolution stream. Check if you’re able to get Starlink satellite internet in your area: https://www.starlink.com/
1099-K from PayPal (tax form)
I finally did my taxes. TurboTax Premier did not guide me through what do about Form 1099-K. I searched TurboTax Help, and it returned this: How do I report a 1099-K if I don't own a business? TurboTax says to manually add the amount in Miscella...
Celestion SL600 Expertise Needed
I had the SL600 decades ago, but only recall each speaker with a single pair of terminals. Searching on the web, I found that the original SL600 has a pair of terminals and the newer SL600si version has bi-wire terminals (4). You must have the SL6...
New KEF KC62 Not Responding?
Which output mode are you using on the Ragnarok 2? The pre-outs are active in headphone+speaker and headphone-only modes. Pre-outs are not active in speaker-only mode (in other words, you need to select a mode that includes headphones). It is in t...
How do you hook up a pair of REL T5x subs to a class d amplifier?
Yes, thank you, I found that. My question has to do with hooking up a pair of subwoofers, do you hook up both of the speakon cables in parallel to the amplifier terminals? Connecting in parallel would be like using a single subwoofer, but doubl...
How do you hook up a pair of REL T5x subs to a class d amplifier?
Look in the comments section of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV_0G3GdPxQ See REL's reply to the question from mark wilson. (some others also posted similar questions and the replies were also similar). Basically leave the black wir...
What Is So Special About Harbeth?
@acdvd, the big improvement for the shl5 was going from the non-plus to plus model. The subsequent models (40th Anniversary and XD) only had small incremental updates. If you have a good deal on the plus, I would go for it.
Looking for nearfield passive speakers that are warm and rich
Harbeth P3ESR seems like a popular warm option. The P3ESR is warmer than your SCM7 and outstanding for nearfield, jazz, and vocals that you mentioned. They are also the same size as the SCM7 and can be a direct replacement on your desk. However...
Buchardt S400 MKII's vs Tyler Acoustics/GR-Research T1 Studio Monitors
How are the Buchardts for nearfield listening? Like 1.2m from listening position. I wonder if the new Mk2 is really ok to be placed close to the wall as advertised on their page, compared to the mk1. Keep in mind that the mk2 has only been se...
What Is So Special About Harbeth?
I think it's the marketing prowess of the distributors more than Harbeth as a company, but effective marketing doesn't require an army of marketing majors. It really only takes one person who understands the market and what drives sales.  I har...
What Is So Special About Harbeth?
Harbeth is becoming the Bose of British speakers -- they’re such a powerhouse in marketing that you can tell folks that there are better alternatives until you’re blue in the face -- doesn’t matter, they’re going to sell droves of them regardless...
