Klipsch Heresy IIL's-Opinions? Why not purchase a pair of used Heresy 1s or 2s for cheap, and see how it goes. If you do not like them, you might break even in the resell. Or you can jump on the modify bandwagon, and improve on them. I am a huge Heritage fan, owning many in my ...
B&W 801 S2 Fatigue VS. 802 S2 No Fatigue? Shadorne is correct. I would like to add, however, that your Yamaha, and Threshold, are on the bright and analytical side. The 801s will reveal that more. I would change out the Yamaha for something warmer, and see how it goes. I do not think "tim...
Latest Absolute Sound Audiogon, and the High End in general, would not be where it is today, if not for magazines such as TAS and Stereophile. Let us not forget those fortunate enough (I am not one) to afford these pieces of high priced gear. Don't like it, don't read ...
Free $3K preamp to lucky listener who names it I had, as 1 of my submissions, The Beckert Labs PRAT ( for Pace, Rhythm, Attack and Timing. Oh well. Credit should be given though, as it was a wonderful marketing tool. Congrats to the winner. MrD.
Bose 901's with "highend ancillaries"?? I agree with the review by Jeff Dorgay. I also agree with the statement by Schubert. I sold them, I have installed many a pair of 901s throughout the years, and, I have owned them. I always suspended them from the ceiling (taking them to another l...
CJ PV-2ar or PV-7 or ARC SP-6 for Klipsch Heresy? As I have mentioned in other threads, dampening the mid horns, and tweets, as well as the inner front panel of the Heresy, makes them a much better music reproducer, especially at higher listening levels. It is the most bang for the buck "mod" one...
Designer Hall of Fame Surprised, that only 2 mentions, of Stewart Hegeman appeared. He truly pioneered many things, such as wide bandwidth in amplifiers, minimal negative feedback in amplifiers, and, many speaker designs, just to name a few. He was brilliant, with both...
High value, high efficiency speakers for SET amps My condolences to you, and your family. I, too, just lost my dad, at 91. My mom, is in a place, being taken care of, with Alzheimer's. They were together for 68 years, and, she, amazingly, knows, he is no longer with her. I feel your loss, and pai...
How an audio rack can enhance your amp/pre I do not post much here, because of all of the "baby talk" that goes around. A side note : I know a guy who owns a very sophisticated sports car, and tweaks it till no end. I would ride in it, after something else he has done, and, he would ask me...
HeresysIII at low Volume If you dampen the mid horn, (and, dampen the tweeter horn), the benefit of louder listening will be improved. The entire front baffle becomes less resonant. Listening improves at lower volume as well. MrD.
Klipsch heresy questions Dampening the mid horns, proper room/listener set up, and, matching them with the right equipment, will give you hours and hours of musical enjoyment. Anyone who has listened to a proper horn set up, ime, usually enjoys, more than dislikes, what t...
Are Klipsch or Usher and Upgrade for Me? Zd542, you need to get a life. Obviously, I hit a nerve with you, insulting you in some way, making you feel inadequate, a realization, that you are not a music listener, or, something of that nature. Get over yourself, and, as I said, "YOU, do no...
Are Klipsch or Usher and Upgrade for Me? My 2 cents. There are many Klipsch owners (horn owners) that are, audiophiles, in so many ways. However, being one, and knowing many, one thing comes to mind. Our group of people are, music listeners, first. Anyone not knowing what I am talking ab...
Another Rhanson. If you read your original post, and please do, you do not mention you had a reliability issue with your amp. You, in fact, make accolades about how wonderful your system was, including the amp, as being part of your system, but, still wan...
Another Rhanson, I was not alone. Shakeydeal and Nonoise assumed the same. We did not read your response to Guido. My response was based on your original post. Sorry......MrD. |
