First Moving Coil (MC) Cartridge Acquisition
Soundsmith has a few that you would be wise to check out. I've had all MC over the years but my next cart will be a Soundsmith for sure. If you're the least bit technical minded then watch Peter Ledermann explain phono cartridges https://www.youtu...
Moving cables around killed dynamics for days anyone else experience this?
OP: I’m glad to hear some people tend to experience this problem, I believe and respect others do not hear it. The issue is I know personally I experience total loss of bloom, bass, spl or energizing of the room or what ever you would like to call...
"Cars are Cars" by Paul Simon...are my channels reversed?
lewm the OP stated right up front that he knows all his connections are correct. He hasn’t mentioned this happening with anything else. Only on Spotify. Which then for some unfathomable reason instead of just saying oh Spotify and be done with it ...

Looking for advice - Debugging an unexpected music shut down
Lol! Same guy tells me spend thousands on a $2 fix now can’t understand amps shut down when they get too hot! Maybe he’ll be kind enough to explain why the WiFi came back the minute the amp cooled down. Get your popcorn folks oughta be good!
A cable routing reminder
It turns out that when I replaced the power cord - one of my unshielded IC’s fell from its support - directly on top of the shielded power cord. Yes but didn't you know, supporting cables cannot possibly make any difference.
Power/Current: How much is realistic?
Looking for that last amp without spending a fortune on something i do not need. Yes but you went and got the ML anyway. Oh well.
Who else here is frugal?
Do you remember erik_squires the one time I came here asking for help? My integrated had no pre-out, and I wanted to add one to run my sub amps. Do you remember? Let me refresh your memory some more. I thought it could be done with a simple mod us...
