Recommendations for fast sounding cables
Its just that the idea of using a cable to fix a problem elsewhere is such a flawed band-aid approach I'd rather see it dismissed than pursued. Seriously. Get a 911 if you can't afford the Jesko. Or get whatever Synergistic Research you can afford...
Speaker placement and dB differences
Oh man, that was close. I had just written a nice long post about the same thing- room dominating - and decided to refresh before posting. Duke of course said it in far fewer words: normal room interactions.
Too good a post to waste
Actually no, they sound the same regardless of what they're plugged into.Either that or the wire somehow magically knows what its plugged into and is able to change accordingly.Just one more bit of nonsense everyone believes without evidence and k...

Not sure if this is in your budget or not but Jesko, very fast, with a superb top end.
New vs vintage/original vinyl
I went through a very similar experience, except there was a selection of ones I kept. But I did at least realize my CD mistake early enough into the 90's to be able to scavenge up and replace pretty much everything, and even add a lot at little c...

What is the maximum amperage on the 15 volt side for the Pro-ject Power Box ds2 Sources
Nothing will get hot. It doesn't work that way. Okay look, the power supply is first of all a transformer. 120V AC comes in, goes round and round the primary windings of the step down transformer that drops it down to (in this case) 15V AC. Always...
What songs/albums/artists actually sound worse when played through audiophile systems?
Uh, its not the system's job to make anything sound good. Or bad. So if anything really does sound worse on your system, don't blame the recording.
The meaning of “Remastered”
Its hard to see how to answer this properly without explaining a little about the recording process. It varies tremendously from recording to recording. At the far minimalist end are direct to disc. With these there is no tape in the recording pat...
What is the maximum amperage on the 15 volt side for the Pro-ject Power Box ds2 Sources
The root of my inquiry is that my turntable requires 15 v DC/1.6 A. The root of your problem is a misunderstanding of amperage. The turntable does not require 1.6A, it draws 1.6A. That is to say it will run just fine on a power supply capable of d...
Monster Regret!!
You should try it both ways and use what sounds the best.
