Is Break-In essential and potentially dangerous for the Audiophile?
What if one prefers the sound of the not yet broken-in, or burned-in, or burned-out state of a component or wire? I don't prefer it, but usually do enjoy listening to the many different changes as time goes by. Especially early on when things cha...

Network expander and AC quality
Totally qualified. Before answering, we understand the question to be:  We know RFI is bad, but what if we paid to put it there? Is it still bad even then??  That's the question? ;)
An Odd Question
The Swiss were not so much neutral as nihilist. Pretending ambivalence between good and evil is okay. Lotta that going around these days.
Budget Basement System Troubles!
You're already gone through three receivers. That ought to be enough to know receivers aren't all that. I'm trying to be polite. All your troubles, all of them, stem from overly complicated receivers trying to do too much. One more switch, this tim...
Who puts their speakers right up against the back wall and why?
klipsch and others do this as their approach, but it is like everything a tradeoff. If the speaker is designed for this boundary reinforcement then it will probably sound better used this way. It does affect more than bass response alone however. ...
Subwoofer on Top???
Subs put out low frequency bass. Duh. Low bass bounces around the room creating areas of reinforcement and cancellation. You can walk around a room and easily hear places the bass is too loud, or too quiet. Or instead of you moving around you can ...

Look at them real close. Real close. When you find two exactly the same let me know.
Bass Issues
DBA. Do a search. Read the comments. Especially mine, noble100, audiokinesis. (In reverse order- Duke is by far the most experienced of all)
What do you think of this power cord?
What I think is you are using the freebie rubber power cord that came in the box. Probably anything, literally anything, is better than that. But if you are talking about spending money, even only $60, then reading eBay ads is not the way to do it...
Can hardware change speaker phasing over time??
I liked this thread a lot more when it was about Will Farrell movies. Volcano Man!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdW6BBF22AY
Low incoming voltage
You're getting a steady 109-111V. So what again is the problem? None that I can see. Other than incompetent democrat government. But I repeat myself. But as far as electricity goes, there is no problem. US voltage is just as often quoted as 110 as...
VTF gauge
Just so you guys know, VTF is a range. Within this range VTF is set by ear. VTF is not set by grams. VTF is set by listening. Setting by tracking force somewhere within the range is Step One. Step Two is listening to find if more or less is better...

Writing at this level, good to know its not going to waste. Because more often than not ....  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtUtXRRbQR0
Can hardware change speaker phasing over time??
There’s parts that are really, really well done. There’s parts that are heartfelt and inspirational. There’s parts that are basically fart jokes. Because it is after all a Will Farrell movie, so get real. The songs are the highlight. The opener is...
