Upgraded cords for linear power supplies?
No. The real magic happens in the ultralinear power supplies. Just be sure to use a UL power cord.
Anybody added a full vinyl setup to system? And?
Yeah sure I did this too, only not recently but years ago. Back in the 90's I had just about completed my "dream system" which was of course CD. When a book by Robert Harley said the turntable is the cornerstone of any true high end system I was ...
Does Age Matter?
Sound is sound, no matter the age. This explains why every single time I have compared, everyone always prefers the record. Every single time. And no it does not have to be five times as expensive, I have gotten the same result comparing a 30 year...
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible.
This thread is really helping me to understand why so many recordings sound the way they do. How are you going to get a nice deep wide sound stage when they aren't listening for it and even if they were couldn't hear it anyway because of the way t...
Happy New Year to AudiogoN and All you Audiogoners
Prolly gonna make last year look like a walk in the park but for now, Happy New Year!
Cautionary Tale
Sequim, eh? How long you suppose before someone besides me even knows how to pronounce that, let alone where it is without using goolag maps? You hit a lot of the long term fave audio cliches. I'll just dismantle one for now. The idea things keep ...
Optimize Stereo Experience - NYC Studio
You can't bring the left speaker forward, and move the right one to the left? Townshend Podiums are no bigger than whatever is under them now. Any sort of springs will both improve imaging and reduce sound going into the floor and bothering neighb...
Tekton speaker comparison thread
Worthwhile improvements don't have to cost a lot. You could put Nobsound springs under them, 2 sets $60, very nice improvement. Townshend Podiums will of course be even better, a lot better, but Nobsound will surprise you. They sure surprised me. ...

Wow. Congratulations. Killer deal!
Living with unsolvable hum - Any audio detectives out there?
loud enough to hear at the listening position, but just barely. Quite noticeable when standing at the rack. I have about this same amount of noise, at least. Every time I think it might be worth trying to eliminate it I think how much time and e...
A deeper more holographic soundstage.
While most all stereo recordings have good imaging left to right, a lot of them are fairly compressed front to back. There was even for a time Phil Spector's famous "wall of sound". Only a relatively small share of recordings have a lot of depth....
Burning a hole in my pocket!
Through Amazon? I would get a couple sets of Nobsound springs https://www.amazon.com/Nobsound-Aluminum-Speakers-Isolation-Amplifiers/dp/B07K9ZYP84/ref=sr_1_1?crid... and then about a half a dozen of these Schumann generators https://www.amazon.com...
REVIEW: Raven Audio Blackhawk Integrated, Soniquil Cables....
Geez lak, anything would sound good with that Teres feeding it! 😍Thanks skypunk, there's been some older ones sell for a lot less and so when you said you saved "thousands" made me wonder if you got one of the earlier/older versions. The current M...
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible.
That’s a recording studio setup. If that’s what you’re doing, fine. Listen to the one above. He pretends to know a lot about it. If doing a home system though you could hardly do worse. Talk about unwilling to learn. My system https://systems.audi...
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible.
I would put a bookshelf in the back half, stocked with copies of Robert Harley's The Complete Guide to High End Audio. The article you cited can then be printed out crumpled up lit on fire and used to light your barbecue. Might as well get somethi...
