Has Anyone Auditioned an LKS MH-DA004 DAC?
@snsYes, someone has seen this, and thank you for writing about the new 005 DAC.  I think I've read all the printed material about it though, as you know, very little has been written by anyone who has heard it.  As with the 004 it probably has it...
Integrityhifi TRU-GLIDER Pendulum Tonearm
IIUC, as it is a pivoting arm It does have tracking error.  It may just be that tracking error means a lot less in terms of SQ than we like to think it does.  Also some of these arms are very long, lessening the tracking error. As for its anti-skat...
Some Evidence of USB Cable Sound
There are very good reasons that USB cables will sound different, one from another. This video seem to demonstrate that clearly. I don’t think, though, that the reasons were fully explained here. The main reason is that the signal going through th...
Audio Art Statement 1 power cables?
If you are up to attaching plugs to cables yourself, some here have found Viborg VP1606 5N OFC RISR 6 Square AC Power Cable to be inexpensive and outstanding. Because of its gauge (about 9.5 AWG) it’s not easy to work with, but well worth the effo...
Anyone know how to determine bitrate/res on Stereophonic?
OP probably means Primephonic.com, a classical only service  They transmit in 44.1/16 or 48/24 but their streams are unmarked.Your need a program like MusicScope, which is no longer available, to see what they, or any other streamer, is actually s...
Anyone know how to determine bitrate/res on Stereophonic?
There is a program, no longer available, called MusicScope that gives that kind of information.

www.primephonic.comIt’s on everyone else’s Google. They stream classical music in 44.1/16 and 48/24 but they don’t tell you when they’re doing one or the other. But it is possible to tell. In fact, so far as I can tell it’s the only service that de...
Anyone know how to determine bitrate/res on Stereophonic?
@m669326Are you sure you don’t mean Primephonic?
Bach Recording Recommendations
For the Brandenburg Concertos I'd recommend the Dunedin Consort on a Linn Records SACD.  Great performance and great sound.
Are you troubled by the imaging of a symphony orchestra?
@schubert Please share.  Which halls are these? In New York the worst hall is Philharmonic Hall.  No one has ever said anything good about it.   They have redone it at least 4 times, never with much success.  They had recently planned to do a total...
Square purchases music streaming service Tidal
Apparently Tidal is losing money, as are many of the streaming services.  Can this go on for very much longer?
Recommendations for 3rd party power supply for Chord 2qute?
You probably cannot do better than a 12V SBooster.  That being said there are many less expensive 12V LPS units available through eBay and elsewhere.  A search on the forums will get you a list of those that have been used with success.  As for "c...
"Use your mentality" is the worst lyric ever.

Are you troubled by the imaging of a symphony orchestra?
Harry Pearson once wrote that correct imaging is more important on recordings than in person, as with recordings you have no visual clues. That being said, IMO there is no reason not to have pretty perfect left to right imaging of instruments. I th...
Question about SACD and DSD
When you're using DLNA, you're not playing from or through the computer.  The files are sent from the server (like a NAS or hard disk) to the DNLA  bridge and out to the DAC.  The computer is merely the digital media controller.
