Can you smell your speakers when youre rockin out?
No I can't. Perhaps your pushing your speakers too hard or are have a peculiar nuerological disorder? Ozone maybe?
The issue of lowballing... What does that mean?
Well we still haven't decided what the definition of a lowball is beyond the most blantant examples and virtually anything below the asking. (Less than 10% below asking see Polk's last post) I tried to think of a good way to put a price on somethi...
Mapleshade boards under speakers
Maple is the right stuff for putting under audio. Thats all there is to say about it.
Can a Pass Labs XA160.5 Drive a Set Of Thiel CS7.2
Sounds like you enjoy the power of power amps thus I hafta agree with Unsound. The Class A amp would likely give you something different on thaural palate, perhaps richer tone, but the loss of driving power would prolly bother you in the end. Ther...
What Do you think of Burmester CD player
I have only heard it briefly at shows. It falls into the detailed clean and highly extended category of audio which I happen to like. I will likely never be conflicted about buying one because of the price as you noted.
Jolida 502B upgrading to Accuphase E206
I am a tube o phile and currently run virtually no SS in my systems. I did like accuphase when I was a younger and bought an Accuphase pre-amp when as soon as I had a shot at it on Ebay. I loved it, but one channel on this very old first generatio...
Duelund CAST silver a $50,000 Upgrade?
You have to guesstimate how many ounces of silver they would need? Then how many hours of craftsman time it would require, since I doubt these are are frabricated by some automated process. Even then it is hard to believe they would cost anywhere ...
How much magnification required to see stylus?
I think a scanning Electron Micograph might tell you if it were worn. The problem is that using the stylus for the EM pictures destroys the stylus. If you could get certain wear states to correspond to a typical sound like Elizabeths inner groove ...
Wilson Sophia II..uncommon SS Integrated match ?
I have heard them sounding exceptionally well with Ayre. I don'ty remember the model but a used integrated shouldn'y exceed your budget.
Zesto Andros PS-1 Tubes
I don't think I have ever rolled tubes in a component without listening to it first. There are some tube which I know I like the sound of and therefore have a low threshold for rolling a tube of that type. For instance I have tube power amps which...
The issue of lowballing... What does that mean?
I have wondered about that myself. If a seller wants a certain price and doesn't wish to field offers all he has to do is put "Firm"! in the ad. Otherwise how can a buyer possibly know what the seller means by "reasonable offers only" and the ubiq...
tube amp goes with coincident total victory ii ??
Your speaker are efficient enough to allow for any of the amps you have mentioned plus many others to work well. At this juncture it really comes down to a matter of preference and taste. So like it or not the answer is still rests on your shoulde...
Zesto Andros PS-1 Tubes
You shouldn't hear any additional gain from brand to brand. The eletrical parameters should be the same no matter which brand you choose. The sound however does change in terms of tone, extension and imaging, amongst other things.Pops are you sugg...
Jadis OR bias value for Mullard RL34 and KT88 help
Thanks for the link Sumonkabir those tubes look cool and the sales pitch seems plausible even if we can't confirm that it is meaniingful of true. The other possibility that I mentioned but haven't done is to get Gold Lion re-issue KT-77s which are...
$13K used Budget for new system
I have heard the Wilson and Ayre combination and was highly impressed by it. So I guess I fall into the like em category. That said you really should audition as much as you can to be certain that is what you want. A speaker with similar attribute...
