I have 3 fav's this year, and quite different ones:-TajMo - excellent SQ and a great modern blues rhythm-La La Land soundtrack - fun and sounds very good (vocals aside from Emma and Ryan)- Imelda May - great vocals, several anthem type songs  
ProAc 1 SC vs. ProAc D1
Hi, given your experiences with ProAc monitors, which model would be a logical choice if I were to replace my Response D15's due to moving to a smaller room. I'd like to keep the same basic sound of the D15's. Thanks for any opinions. YBA amplific... 
Is Spiking Necesarry?
I run ProAc D15's and use Herbie's Gliders with the stock spikes. Happy as hell - they slide with ease on the hardwood floor. Soundwise - a little tighter bass but you have to adjust the spikes to keep them rock solid to the floor. No movement at ... 
Any Imelda May fans out there
Love Imelda, waiting for her new album from the library. Sounds interesting (no pun intended).The Rock and Roll Party with Jeff Beck DVD is stunning as is her performance. She can sing. I actually prefer Love Tatoo over her other CD's.

ProAc comparison
I had the Studio 140's for quiet a while, but replaced them with D15's. My experience is that they were way better on the mid bass and especially good with well recorded music featuring vocals and acoustic instruments. Still a little congested wit...
