Oh where or where have all the buyers gone?
I agree that it is just a seasonal shift. I sell motorcycles for a living and people won't buy if the sun isn't showing it's self that day, like it may never shine again. People are just out in the yard or getting the boat ready or hopefuly out bu...
Sellers adding for PayPal use is plainly BS

Retro Hi End Trivia Question
I remember the thing and don't want to offend anyone but found it to sound unapealing. Viridian the Rapaport pre amps I have seen were solid state and also quite unalealing.
Voodoo in Ann Arbor
I have been in Ovation in A2. It's in the old HiFi Buys location, on Main. It seemed like a nice store with good lines and good people. I don't know of the others mentioned, they sound like hucksters. In that area(Ann Arbor is just part of Detroit ...
Silver racks...
Billy Bags makes some fine looking racks in brushed steel (silver) but perhaps not in that price range. They have the cool look of a Ducati motorcycle frame if you get the bracing.

The answer will be in the sound and not the numbers!
Best looking / worst looking amps & preamps
OMG! I just saw the Ampzilla 2000. WOW! I think I may need to vomit. Looking at it's like having a sharp object crammed into your retina. You win James. No one can top that(I hope)unless they hire some designers from the old AMC automobile company.
Any audio shops in Vegas that shouldn't be missed?
The Upper Ear was bad experience for me. When I worked their they had a perverse distane for audiophiles, refering to them in a derogatory manner as "tweeks". I was the odd man out being the only real audiophile there.(I owned ARC gear at the time...
CD Player Recommendation
The ARC CD2 makes magic in my system and there is one listed new today for $1400 bucks. They normaly bring $1500 to $1800. It is hard to imagine beating it for that sort of cash. It has harmonic richness, presentation of space, and transparent qua...
Any audio shops in Vegas that shouldn't be missed?
Hey Vegasears, Do you remember "The Upper Ear" or "R.P. Miller Audio"? Both were in Vegas in the early 80's. I worked at both those joints.
Coolest looking speaker ever ?
Martin Logan CLS!
Removing fine scratches on tt dustcover
Go to a motorcycle shop and buy some Novus Plastic polish(they use it to polish plastic wind screens). Use a very soft non abrasive cloth and buff the hell out of it. You will be suprised. Get the Novus No.2 it is a finer polish than the No.1 whic...
Is "The Audio Critic" magazine still around?
I hope not! enough said.
Rumble Filter for my Linn LP-12 setup ??
The woofer excursions could be caused by the cartridge compliance not being optimal for the tone arm. Are you using a Linn cartridge/arm combo? I would assume that in a Linn arm,Linn cartridges will work correctly but some other cartridges may be ...
Have you tried "doping" your speaker cones?
Twl,Damar varnish is not brand name, but a type of varnish typicaly used by artists who paint with oils. It would be available from an art supply store like "Daniel Smith" out of Seattle or from a company that makes art supplies like Windsor Newton.
