Clearaudio Emotion SE: Good choice for Classic Rock?
Ok then, I would Highly suggest a Dynavector 10X5 for a lower cost option that would still work very well, on a RP6. Matt M
Will Changing my 100 Watt Tube Amp to a 200 Watt SS Amp Solve My Problem?
MARK, I agree with elevick... 85db speakers are not going to work well with tube power amps! I dont care what brand. Get a SS amp with proper input to match your pre amp and I assure you, the issue will be gone. Matt M
Can "Refurbished" Thorens turntables sound better, and worth taking a chance on??
IMO, It really depends on your equipment (how resolving) because if your gear is GOOD I think the classic tables make a lot of sense. (I have a TD 160 with grado wood prestige $600) A table like the Thorens TD160 with original tonearm TP16 and wir...
if you had my system and $2,000 budgeted for an upgrade, where would you spend it?
Wow Mark, you have a Lyra Delos on a Techno Dec? For a little more ... $2500 , you could move up to a GYRO SE pre owned/ used  WITH a better arm ?? That is where I would go.  Upgrade the turntable to the level your cartridge deserves man! Matt M

REGA RP6 w/o cartridge ($1500), Dynavector 20x2 MC ($1000) ...PRAT off the charts! AND under budget! Your welcome :-)Matt M
Did you hear Adele at the Grammy's?
" she always benefits from pitch correction, but this time it must have failed, and she and was unmasked" Bunch of garbage! I heard Adele here in Austin Texas and she has a real voice, she also did some unplugged sessions at the local radio statio...
Neat Momentum SX5i or Rega RX5
Rega makes turntables...Go with the Neat’s. Also, I will say any speaker you can audition in person is a big plus. If it sounds good, it is good, feel the force J :-)Matt M
Just moved to an apartment need speaker suggestions
British made speakers from Harbeth , Spendor, Epos, Also, Canadian made Totem Acoustic Model 1 Sigs,  might be just the ticket, all of these manufactures make speakers that perform great in smaller rooms.Matt M
Choosing a CD or SACD player over my Oppo BDP 95
BEERNUT, choice well made! Now you have true versatility.  Seikosha, I’m not sure who you spoke with about the differences in the audio stages of the Oppo 95 vs Opp 105? They do not use the same dacs! Let me assure you they are wrong and you are g...
Speakers for Heavy Metal

Similar sound characteractics to MIT cables?
Phil.... MIT's have boxes on them...the only other speaker cable that sounds LIKE those are Transparent Audio cables (they use boxes too). If you get away from cables with networks on them you may find some renewed dynamics in the system. But the ...
Choosing a CD or SACD player over my Oppo BDP 95
The Oppo 105 would be a big upgrade (dual ESS Saber Dacs + dedicated audio out section with XLR or RCA) and you like Oppo, so thats the best sounding red book/universal disc spinner for $1200 on the planet right now. Beyond that I would look to us...
Similar sound characteractics to MIT cables?
Kimber Kable or AudioQuest. would be my answer. Matt M
Looking for a CD/MP3 recorder to loop into my hogh end analog system
Hello Patxi05, MP3's / CD's are the worst sounding digital files. If I were you I would do some research on something that would last into the future like the Aurender X100L and partner it with a great DAC from who ever you like, preferably one tha...
