| Breakout DAC for 2013? In your price range you can pick up the Ayre QB9 and be set for the foreseeable future. Using mine with an Apple mini-Mac which replaced the Marantz SA-7s2 and I do not mis the Marantz which is saying a lot as it was an outstanding CD player. | |

| Affordable SS amp that has tube characteristics I had the Aerial 10-t's for approximately 4 years and used them with the Ayre V-1x amp. They don't show up that often but when they do they are in/close to your price range and delivered enjoyable, musical sound across all genres of music. | |
