Danny Boy - Recommendations

I have several versions of Danny Boy, but am looking for some really inspirational versions. My current favorite version is from Jhenna Lodwich on her All My Loving CD. If you do not know her, I would recommend you give her a try.

Any recommendations of your favorite versions would be appreciated. Please provide artist and album, if possible.

For a sweet melancoly Irish rendition of this song I agree with Marty, the Great Irish Tenor John McCormack is a good one. I am not sure if he ever recorded "Danny Boy" but I have a later recording of "Oh Mary Dear"/Londonderry Air recorded in 1936. His voice is worth checking out to those unfamiliar with this contemporary of Enrico Caruso.

I'm not sure this is a recommendation but there's a very idiosyncratic version of this song by Diana Krall on the Chieftains CD "Tears of Stone". Might be interesting if you're looking for something different.
