Tinnitus remedy? I suffer from Meniere's Disease which includes episodes of tinnitus. I sometimes use a Widex Zen hearing aid which includes a feature that helps eliminate the episodic ringing in my left ear. It's an expensive little gadget, but it works.
My final table , hopefully ! Mark, what do you have and what catridge do you use? I didn't mention Nottingham because they are talking VPI and the OP seems to have set his mind. Though there are not too many Nottinghams in the US, still you very rarely see them for sale. But ...
My final table , hopefully ! Just curious, I've owned Thorens, Sonographe, Sota and recently a Nottngham TT and feel the Nott bests the others, why no mention of Nottingham decks? Black background, musical as can be, detailed, spacious, quiet, dynamic. Oh, simple to set up...
recommendation on new brush FWIW, bought the Mapleshade Static Draining Brush and have used it a few times. My experience using it in connection with my Nottingham TT and tonearm, Ortofon cartridge, Boston graphite mat, and VPI cleaning machine: the annoying pops created b...

Help wanted: Bass! To atmasphere above: viola! Of course! And I know better! Pre amps tend to require speaker lead inversion. My First Sound PD III and Cary SLP98 before it both do. While swapping out amps and speakers it's easy to forget that. You just helped ...
I used to think passive preamps were superior to active preamps given right the setup, but For what it's worth, Emmanual Go, producer of the superb lineup of First Sound tube preamps initially marketed a passive preamp. Eventually he began to engineer, manufacture, and sell dual mono actives with separate power supplies. I recently pa...
Help with Cable selection Just swapped out some Anti Cable level 3 reference speaker cable with the Shunyata Research Black Mamba. Like them both very much but prefer the Shunyata: more detail, larger and deeper soundstage, richer sounding IMHO. Will continue to use the An...
Forward or laid back Mark Twain: it ain't what you don't know that gets you in trouble, it's what you know for certain which turns out not to be true.
Do 180g vinyls sound better or is it a myth ? Whatever weight vinyl you choose to listen to, I believe it is essential to clean it before ever setting it on your platter. Even a new record needs to be cleaned with a good record washer. After that, good storage is important as well, anti sta... |
