Fed Ex makes good
Fedex absolutely destroyed a pair of $3000 speakers (it looked as if the damage was actually intentional) and even though we bought additional insurance to cover that amount, they refused to pay the claim…that is until we threatened to create a co...
Fed Ex makes good
I’ve always removed the tubes and packaged them separately.
Marantz SA-10 vs Marantz SACD-10
replaced my Marantz SA-10 with a Teac 701T transport combined with the Yggdrasil MIB DAC connected by a Shunyata Theta SPDIF cable and am glad I made the change; more organic sounding, closer to high end analog, more detail and better soundstaging...

Recorded Cleaning Machnies
The iSonic is a great machine. I wrote about it extensively here on Agon.  I clean 7 records at a time and use filtered tap water. Records come out shiny, glossy and sound noticeably better after a 10 minute clean followed by an 8 minute rinse and...
Potential relief for tinnitus?
I have had Menieres Disease for 25 years.  Vertigo, tinnitus, balance issues, drop attacks, hearing loss one side. Local ENT prescribed Betahistine Dihidrochloride, two caps daily.  Cheap, effective.  Been around forever, no side effects.
Best $10-15K bookshelf speaker?
if possible give a listen to the Manger Z-1 unlike any speaker discussed on this thread, in a good way
Used tube preamps, Cary, AR, Aesthetix, Wells...........or?

Audiohifistore.com is a SCAM
a small island in the middle of the Irish Sea sounds like the ideal place to purchase expensive, high end stereo equipment - I fail to see a problem here…..
Can you recommend Jazz for some one that doesn't like Jazz?
Maybe start by process of elimination, or simplify your selection process.  Given the wide range of musical styles referred to as JAZZ, start by identifying what appeals to you musically then choose artists that fit. For me, not really into big ba...

From Sonus Faber Extrema to...
as much as I’ve read about the Extremas, if it were me, I’d be hard pressed to sell them having owned Olympica III’s, and based on reviews and comments re: the Extremas, it sounds like a couple of sonic characteristics are part of the SF house so...
Reliability - what’s your experience been?
owned at least 7 Cary amps/preamps, never had an issue (still have the PH 302 mk II phono pre which is outstanding - sent products back for upgrades, not repairs, and have always received excellent service  had a Sonographe TT in the 80’s which f...

Cartridge upgrade
FWIW, have owned a Kiseki Purpleheart NS for several years.  Recently installed a Hana Umami Blue just for a change.  So far the Kiseki sounds better to my ears.  Excellent cartridge.  The Blue is fine, but there’s a magic to the Kiseki; it is ful...
