Does LAST Preservative DULL sound? While I have used it, and do seem to like it, I don't seem to notice any severe detriment to using it.Only thing I've ever seen after using it, was more noticable build-up of crud on my Stylus.I would assume it acts as a lubricant, and maybe helps...
Any CAL experts out there. Hi newbee, just curious in what you mean by hooking up the digital out from the Delta to the Sigma II? Are you referring to 75ohm cable, or? Thanks, Mark
What do folks use to clean cables/connections? Denatured alcohol has always been a good metal cleaner, (And optics cleaner also) is easily gotten, and might be a good product for step one. Naturally for cleaning connections-binding posts etc, I don't think one would have to resort to HPLC grad...

Help search for a phono stage that fits my system I seem to gather you like tubes, and perhaps would like a tube driven phono stage as well, but do notice you have chosen the DNA-500 for your Amp, and I'm sure this puppy delivers some fantastic sound, and takes control of your speakers with vice-...
Adding damping fluid to Audioquest PT arms ???? Adding damping fluid to Audioquest PT arms ???? Wayne, Thinking some more about this, that might be possible, adjusting how far the well cover protrudes into the damping oil bath as a means of varying the amount of damping, but with the cover slightly loose, I would then wonder if vibrations-re...
Adding damping fluid to Audioquest PT arms ???? Howdy Wayne, I believe I have the Paperwork here for the AQ PT-6, and I'll pass on what it says ASAP.I'm not aware if there are/were any changes between the AQ Arm I have, and the one you have, but I believe that there was no mention about varying...
What is under your TT, cheap islolation? Relating to the VPI Table, I'm wondering if you have the spring suspension on it, as you might be better off with the Sorbothane Pucks instead. Audiopoints replacing the VPI Rubber feet will help a bit, but these aren't cheap for a set of four. I ...
Big Mcintosh MC1000 pwr amp s? Marcelo, My opinion (for what it's worth! lol) is if you can afford the MC-1201's, I say go for it my freind!Different people have different goals, and strategies about audio equipment, and from what I gather somewhat about you, you wish to make a...
Big Mcintosh MC1000 pwr amp s? The question I wonder about, is yes,I understand how many large high wattage Amplifiers will have plenty of reserve power on tap, and this can be a good thing for transients-dynamics, but to what point will one go?No doubt there's probably not a s...
Next Turntable Hi Wartz, I reckon opinions are like you know what, and everybody's got one! (lol)None the less, when you factor in everything associated with the Table, such as Arm, Cartridge, A great Phono Stage to compliment it, it sure isn't hard to come to t...
What phono stage candidates should I consider? Perhaps another worthy contender would be the Sutherland PhD, which it totally battery powered, is said to be extremely quiet, and you may want to read some reviews of it, which are provided in the Acoustic Sounds Website. My buddy Thomas Back owns...
Newbie looking for cheap dependable table Hi, I would say you wouldn't exactly have to spend $1,000, or up for a decent table which will sound good, and do no harm to your LP's.If you're willing to buy used, one could always buy a clean-mint VPI HW-19 Jr, with already installed Audioquest... |
