Digitally remastered vinyl record? Seriously?
These days, after 50 years of listening to records, CDs, tapes, you name it, my gut tells me the records with unique sonic merit over the alternatives worth investing in are mostly those from the days when analog gear was used solely in their crea...

So just for arguments sake, I use DNM Reson ICs exclusively in my system. Price I have paid ranges from $50 up to $200 each.I would say these make the same kind of differences to the same extent in my system as do the HF wires in others. If you loo...
anyone ditch their metal speaker stands?
More so than mere height, orientation of tweeter matters. FOr example sometimes lower stands with slight upward tilt might work best to let the floor work best to reinforce bass, not smear the soundstage and still have proper exposure to the tweet...

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. That's pretty much the whole story here. Wires that cost more than the price of a semester's tuition at some colleges are bound to be controversial. It would seem to go with the turf. Its strange to me that ...

Digital remasters these days are generally quite good. One more option to consider.

I Just Know It's BS ... But I Have't Tried It Yet
It cracks me up when anything around here is pitched purely on how good it sounds. Breaking news: this is high end audio. It's all supposed to sound anywhere from very good to fantastic. But there is always the pitch for some new product that ups ...
What's the greatest bargain in SET these days?
The interesting thing seemingly about SET amp is that one has to understand the unique limitations of each unique design and match gear accordingly. Not so much different than the norm, but the rules and players are different. I would expect in th...
I Just Know It's BS ... But I Have't Tried It Yet
I like it when people who talk about tweaks I do not understand demonstrate knowledge of related things I know more about as well. That gives them more credibility with me in terms of understanding the big picture at least. When people talk about ...
What's the greatest bargain in SET these days?
10.2 ohm output caught my eye as well. That would make for some varied and possibly interesting results. Hard to see how that would perform well with most speakers, but again optimal performance and what one considers to be good sound are often no...
