Dynamite!
Watched the MTV awards that night
Its somewhat entertaining along the lines of a circus perhaps, but musically MTV keeps lowering the bar every year. The early glory days of teh 80s and the music videos then seem like Beethoven in comparison. Can it go any lower?

"You have to walk the party line or get reported and slapped."Another job for Donald Trump. I wonder how much he pays for his wires? Probably more for his hair. :-)

"Give the kid a break. "She's very talented for her age.Not sure how much more of a "break" I can give her.I just do not find a grade school child singing the traditional blues very compelling. Its more disturbing to me than entertaining. That son...
Best integrated up to $6000
Rogue Pharoah for half that amount just might be all the amp most people will ever need, especially for those who also need phono. It's very good! I would consider downsizing to it someday.
Who is going to the Capital Audiofest?
So how was it this year? Anything new or different to create a buzz?I did not see much in the preliminary show adverts to that end, but I would have liked to have been able to go anyhow because you never know what you might discover listening live.

"Audio Gone" question for Audiogon experts
I will likely never part with my NAD 7020 receiver. Its an oldie but goodie. The pre-amp in particular, including phono still sounds great even in comparison to more modern and much more expensive gear. The 20 w/ch amp sets a high bar as well with...

Dylan's latter recordings starting with time out of mind are some of my favorites from him so he broke that model to a large extent in my mind.
Bose 901's with "highend ancillaries"??
Yes all good installs I have heard are suspend from ceiling which makes for a useful alternative for some in some rooms.

Play with controls and switches and see if volume is restored at all. Volume balance and input switches in particular. If that helps at all a good cleaning of switches and pots would be in order. I have heard similar with my trusty old nad 3020 .
Bose 901's with "highend ancillaries"??
Good point by al (as usual).
In Memoriam: Bobby Palkovich of Merlin Music
He seemed very passionate about what he did. That says a lot.

I never know what to say about Springsteen other than I like some of his stuff. Mostly his early stuff like Marty but also doteot and the river to some extent. Born in the USA is ok too. I have his live box set. It's just ok. And this from a Rutge...
