Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? Not to rehash old news but a Walsh driver is a bending wave based driver (look up speaker types and bending wave speakers on Wiki) . Bending wave drivers was Lincoln Walsh's concept and innovation. Ohm was teh company that produced the first ...
These Moody Blues Will Knock Your Socks Off! The Fab Four to some extent perhaps at that time in that they were already the best known and most successful British Invasion group but the fabs and others would all tell you all the British groups initially were channeling the American roots mus...
Most Effective Tweaks? Yep, as mentioned several times above, hum is most likely ground and/or EM related due to close proximity to transformers and the ilk.RF is typically higher frequency noise, not unlike the noise other than hiss one might hear listening to FM stere...
Radio Paradise -- Good Stuff Radio Paradise reminds me of the glory days of music oriented FM radio back in the early to mid 70s. Except even better.
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? I use 3 12X12 sound panels on sidewalls at primary reflection points based on where I listen from most often. May try some on ceiling at some point but have not felt the need.My advice with OHms specifically is treat only as needed. Start minimall...
Can "Refurbished" Thorens turntables sound better, and worth taking a chance on?? I still use Linn Axis table I bought back in mid 80s and have had similar experiences to brother Bondmanp. Still runs great and zero problems over 30 years or so. The old Thorens are a similar breed I would say.
Is it all worth it? Mensch yes not being overtly bright at all yet surprisingly resolving makes them a great match for that room. My main system feeds that room and speakers in several others via in wall wiring and a speaker switch so yes the little Bostons benefit ...
Most Effective Tweaks? Paper if source is in basement as you suspect then you might be able to place a flat my metal shield between either on ceiling in level below or floor on upper level. If if so then you might be able to hear differences in the noise level if affe...
Most Effective Tweaks? papermill,There was no noticeable hum or noise prior to adding the step up transformer to better match the MM level phono pre-amp in my ARC sp16 when I bought it. So I knew adding the step up xformer introduced the hum somehow.First I determined ...
Synergistic Red Fuse ... Gotta point out that no thread is a scientific study. There is typically a bias to some extent. Well meaning people typically tend to happily report good news but hold back on the bad. Not unique to fuse threads at all.So I would say it is wrong t...
Question on using Vinyl Studio I’m interested in the process steps and how much time it takes users per record to produce properly tagged output files with Vinyl Studio.
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? Sounds like the Subdudes are doing their thing. The resulting sound is more ES or planar like in my case as well though I tend to think of it as more refined and articulate bass or absence of muddy obscuring bass. Results are similar using similar f...
Most Effective Tweaks? $600 is the right price point but I need it to be fast and easy as well as effective. Otherwise my manual process cost virtually nothing and is most effective. I haven't seen one like that yet. The ones I have seen cost thousands still. |
