Horns: Why don't they image well? Set them up right and they can image just fine.
Klipsch Heresy III vs Forte III Forte’s definitely more bass extension. I heard both at a local dealer but in different rooms and off different amps so hard to compare apples/apples.I liked both very much and would consider owning either. Neither offended in any way. Heresy III ...
Best Loudspeakers for Rich Timbre? Should they be a matter of taste? Fact is they are.Even if you take taste out of the equation, there is still the listening room variable. No two rooms are the same either and teh room largely determines what you hear with any particular speaker d...
Best Loudspeakers for Rich Timbre? It’s not any more surprising than the fact that people choose to wear different clothes, some styles more popular and enduring than others.
klipsch speakers,be honest I’ve heard several recent models recently and latest models are very good products overall and could make a lot of people happy including most likely me.Have not heard any older models in recent years but the consensus seems to be those often need...
Do I need a sub woofer to match my ATC SCM11s No doubt in most any room with most any smaller monitor speaker, no matter how good, adding a sub or two and integrating it well betters the experience by extending the low end that is largely missing otherwise. If you do it right you should as g...
I pulled the trigger, I bought OHM Walsh Micro Tall Speakers... eag a watt is a watt. The difference is most likely in how much current is delivered in that OHM Walsh speakers (especially the larger models) tend to love current and good SS usually does that better. Also tube amps tend to soft clip which avoids...
I pulled the trigger, I bought OHM Walsh Micro Tall Speakers... Eag,congrats and enjoy!Klipshfan I had original Walsh 2s with 8" driver bought ~ 1982 and owned until ~ 2008.. A step up from Walsh Ones which are less common I believe. Not the most refined sound like most modern speakers (including newer version...
The 70’s are back curiousjim, yes they did and very fragile as well. Those were Ohm Fs, top of the line back in teh late 70s.I have two pair of the newer Ohm Walsh models, one with new 12" drivers in refurbed OHM F cabinets. The sound is phenomenal. Require no more...
The 70’s are back I've heard the Forte IIIs and they are very good with even very modest SS amplification. They really excel at allowing individual recordings to sound unique FBOFW. No sugar coatings!
The 70’s are back We sold the old JBL 100s at Tech Hifi. I preferred all the Ohm speakers of the time that competed with those starting with Ohm L for $400 pair, C2, and H for $800. The C2s were most comparable and the Hs much better. JBL always had muddy bass and ...
Are the new Ohm Walsh speakers Audiophile quality? Currently I have 2 Walsh models one generation older than the current line. Refurbed Walsh 2 cabinets with 100 8" driver and refurbed Ohm F cabinets with 5 12" driver. Also my original Ohm Ls that I uograded myself. 1000s are latest and greatest w...
HEY! I'm gonna' be a billionaire Better keep the liquor cabinet locked. Audiophiles love to lubricate.
Replace Revel Ultima Studio with Magneplanar 3.7i (???) The best Magnepan set ups I've heard have them 1/3 or more into the room and away from side walls. The best was at Jim Smith's old Audition store in Birmingham Alabama. My friend and I both bought a pair on the spot that day.
Is there actually a difference? Last time I checked amps do not make any sound without speakers and vice versa. |
