Is there a way to tell if I have a high pressure manifold on my ET2? Some sort of marking on the manifold, or a different size? I have a couple of different pumps, but dont want to put on a higher pressure if its going to damage something
What is the Phono stage you have finished with?
Noro,I thought the same thing, when I went from a PS Audio GCPH to a Simaudio LP5.3 with PS5.3 external power supply. retail was about $3000 and I got used for about $1250. but, when I got the opportunity to pick up my Manley Steelhead for a steal...
PSB Synchrony One or Bowers Wilkins 804D?
I own the synchrony one and auditioned the 804. For me it wasn't close.
Tyler Acoustics
The PSB Synchrony One is in your budget and will fill your room with enough power. They are great stereo speakers, and not for HT. I do use other Psb speakers for my HT.
Tonearm: Phantom vs. 4 Point vs. 10.5
I use a Helius Omega on my Sota Cosmos and an Auroura on my custom Lenco. Very nice arms with ballsy sound.

Manley Steelhead. My last.
Turntable with stable speed.
If speed stability is you primary concern, the late 70s DD japanese systems really had that down pat. I bought a Sony PS-x65 for my wife, due to the auto features. I has a composite plinth and a magnetic strip under the platter to measure speed wh...
How far out to place motor from platter
John,Stretching the belt necessarily make it thinner, and therefore, the radius of each pulley changes as the ratio is determined by the radius to the center of the belt at each end. And thats assuming that the increased drag from the side loading...
Next step?
Classic one with dyna 17d3. Less than cost of classic 3 and will be way ahead of what you have. Or a Sota Star with sme 309.
How far out to place motor from platter
note that your speed may change based on how tight the belt is, either due to belt stretch changing the diameter or excess loading on the motor bearing increasing friction. Obviously, both motors should be the same distance away from the platter.
What do you expect a reviewers system to be
In the old days, the reviewers at ABS and Stereophile used to list the records and equipment used to evaluate the equipment, and point out specific areas of the music where the equipment acted in a certain manner different from their reference. th...
New cart for under 1K
I am not a great believer in changing components to correct problems in other areas. If you get a cartridge that rolls off the highs to sound better with your too bright speakers, then you are stuck with a cartridge that rolls off the highs. Bette...

does anyone know if there is a downloadable mounting template for the ET@. I have two of them, an I want to mount it on my custom Lenco, but I'd prefer not to start dirlling unless I know for sure what I am doing. I have dowloaded the manual, but ...
When a Reviewer "likes" something
So, he should only buy the cheap stuff he can afford, and then review megabuck equipment through that cheap system. What difference does it make where a reviewer gets his reference system, so long as it is good enough to allow him to hear the diff...
