Education: Best place for Audio Engineering?
We have a family member who got a Masters from Berklee in Boston in this area and he has been steadily employed in the five years since
What covid research can teach us about audio measurements.
I am not understanding the OP point here.  How does a preliminary study measuring changes in alveolar diffusing capacity post Covid relate to audio measurements?
Old guy needs recommendation request for old CD players / DAC
If you already have both of these players, can’t you just do your own comparisons and decide?
Internet Radio on Audiophile Quality 2 Channel System
@goofyfoot   Radio Venice through a variety of streamers, Cambridge Audio CXN 60 in my main  2 channel and Bluesound Node2 in a mid fi system.  I used to have a Bryston BDP3 in the 2 channel and the Venice stream on that player was the best yet. ...
McIntosh LB200?
@jheppe815    Do you really want your Apple TV shoved in a box?The things work best if they have a clear path to detect the remote
Optimal lengths for USB and Ethernet cabling for digital audio
The one digital cable where long runs are clearly bad is HDMI.  Otherwise Ethernet is the preferred cable for longer runs, and I don’t know that it matters much for usb if the receiving device does a decent job of reclocking
Internet Radio on Audiophile Quality 2 Channel System
Radio Venice streams at 128 but always seems to be near CD quality to me…
Classical Music for Aficionados
I never got the Celi cult.  All I can say is that his Munich concert goers must of had strong bladders to make it through his glacial performances.
New here and saying HI!
Welcome aboard.  I’ve enjoyed the posts that I’ve seen from you in other threads
Bluesound and BluOS
I have Qobuz, not Tidal.  It works poorly with my Android phone, frequently stopping, skipping, etc. At home it works fine with my dedicated streamers, including a Node2, all used with etherwire.  Is your Bluesound on WiFi or hardwired?  Have you ...
McIntosh LB200?
Well this thread surely took an edified diversion. Would it really take a lot of time for McIntosh to belt this stuff out?  I notice the online ads tend not to have it in stock, so maybe it is in the production phase. Hey it’s an empty box with ...
Streaming vs Physical Media
@singingg      I agree that all these formats, streaming included, have their pros and cons.  Having just had a few days of vacation in a remote area with bad wi fi I was very glad to have 50 or so albums loaded on my phone.  Even in my home I p...
DAC diminishing returns
The DAC is a critical component and they do not all sound alike.  We don’t know what your previous DAC experiences have been.  I don’t know your speakers but the rest of the system ought to be able to resolve improvements in DACs.   I have not he...
The review wehave been promising is up
Andrew   I accept everything you say except the part about their being an “Absolute Sound”, and that issue is tangential here, imo, and could be the subject of a different thread.     Shortly before Art Dudley died, he reviewed some French CDP th...
Differences between models of expensive vs inexpensive DACs
I have owned 3 DACs in the 5K range that sounded very different from each other, and also 4 DACs in the 1 K range or below that also sounded different from each other
