ClearAudio Tracer tonearm tracking force adjustment malfunction
@mulveling Thanks for the advice - I tried both suggestions and neither worked but I think I've figured out how it works. My guess is there is a nylon piece inside the pivot housing that the rod threads into which pulls the weight section forward...
Is toeing speakers a bad idea?
Thanks for the question and thanks @hilde45 for posting the PS video. I always thought my Harbeth 40.3's should be toed-in somewhat, and I thought they were pretty dialed in at roughly 10 degrees (actually 3 inch diff. in distance from the rear c...
Record Weights/Disc Stabilizers
No prob, where did you buy the Furutech from?
Little help with REL subwoofers, please?
I have 2 T/9x's and believe in matched stereo pairs or quads for 2 channel systems. In your case, I'd get 2 T/7s if you can't swing 2 T/9's.
Record Weights/Disc Stabilizers
+1 on the HRS  One function of a weight is to secure the record to the platter in lieu of a mat, which in my case is bare Delrin (mats are not ubiquitous). Another function is to deal with vibration/resonance generated by the stylus. The HRS uti...
Purchase on Audiogon arrived not as described
I had the opposite situation as the “green” seller of a very heavy TT packed perfectly in its original wooden crate. PP sided with the buyer after 60 days of back and forth. Arguing with PP agents is a waste of time if you are the seller. I think...
Recommendation Tube Integrated
I would think carefully before changing from SS to tubes for the Harbeth 40.2's. I recently bought the 40.3's and even with gobs of power my Rogers High Fidelity EHF-200 did not sound good with the big Harbeth's.  It's not about power it's about...
Harbeth 40.3 XD Tweeters
@arafiq  Harbeth said they are made of "specially treated fabric".  That's good enough for me, I was hopeful they were not titanium or aluminum. Small point of clarification, Fidelis Distribution is the distributor, Fidelis AV is a dealer. htt...
REL Sub Hum
Once you've solved the ground issue, trim the cable(s). They are not well shielded. Better yet, buy these. I had them terminated with spades and I did not need the black "ground" wire but you can also order a 3 wire version, and only one if you d...
Zafvino Silver Dart Graphene vs. ?
@zlone Thx but no apology necessary...I can see that now. I'm getting over the flu  so wasn't in the best frame of mind yesterday. Happy holidays!
Zafvino Silver Dart Graphene vs. ?
Thanks guys, and happy holiday's to you too. I am starting to think about the holograms now, can it get better? Out be out of my lane to comment.  Two of the biggest names in audio have just reviewed NanoFlo cables and without question, all ...
Zafvino Silver Dart Graphene vs. ?
@soix @mclinnguy @zlone  Soix, I put the AZ Holograms in today. I am blown away. Imaging is much better but tonally they are really, really nice.  I know there is a break in period so more good stuff to come and I haven't played any really good ...
Should You Leave An External Power Supply On 24-7?
For what it's worth, Bluesound instructions noted to keep the Node on all the time as the power up cycles can increase wear and tear on components. There is no way to turn it off unless you unplug it anyway.
Should You Leave An External Power Supply On 24-7?
@jetter  Assuming you use your nodes with an external DAC, what is your objective opinion on how much adding the LPS improved the sound?  NODE 130 with external DAC here. I added the LHY LPS (under $300) and it made a significant difference. A...
How good is good enough?
When I say so.
