Experience with Sensitive Sound MC cartridges
Mijo, That there is some hefty audio allowance you got.  Do you have enough left over for a milkshake at the drugstore?  You previously mentioned that your new "turntable" (without at that time mentioning what you were buying) was going to cost yo...
Review of the SMARTractor and SMARTstylus
Raul, you wrote in response to my post about the consequences of P2S error, "You are not only been extremely dramatical but ’out of game’, you are wrong and your statement about the null points is totally false."First, thank you for your constant ...
15 foot RCA cables out of TT with no pre amp?
I am surprised no one else mentioned this, but not more than a few weeks ago, another guy asked about using a 22-foot phono cable.  You might search for that thread; all of the responses also apply to yours. Or was that you?
What's the benefit of balanced tonearm cables?
If you are sure that your phono stage contains a true balanced circuit inside and is not just using XLR input jacks, then please also tell us what kind of interface there exists between the tonearm and the phono cable.  If it is a DIN 5-pin interf...
what are some of best tonearms you own or experience with.
Another open-ended question, because one ought at least to reference the cartridge by type and compliance that you intend to use with it.Of tonearms I own, Triplanar, Reed 2A with Red Cedar wand, and FR64S are the "best". Whoopee.
Record clamp/weight and turntable speed
You provide no actual information.  How heavy is your record weight? What type of turntable do you use, belt-, idler- or direct-drive? Does the motor incorporate a speed control? What type? Have you actually measured speed with vs without the weig...
What is the Silliest Accessory You Have Ever Seen.
Fortunately for posterity, Groucho made more sense and was anyway funnier than the above posts.
Sell LP's: No visible scuffs. Let buyer remove static if needed?
Arizona, I notice you seem to grade the LP itself and it’s jacket as one. Very often I find a mint LP inside a jacket that is way short of mint condition. Or vice-versa, a horrible condition LP in a mint sleeve. How do you deal with that in the co...
Sell LP's: No visible scuffs. Let buyer remove static if needed?
Define "too long".  Anyway, it's possible. The potential is there for static charge to build up because of the velvet cushion that protects the LP surface from the plastic suction tube, I suppose, but the LP starts out wetted with cleaning solutio...
Dr Feickert Protractor
A guy with a protractor would also be a guy with a complete set of Allen wrenches, both SAE and metric.  Like me.
What is the Silliest Accessory You Have Ever Seen.
"cheapest copper wire" would actually be an upgrade over what is used in many modern contructions, where you might find aluminum wiring.  THAT would be the cheap way out.  But the argument against expensive power cords, based on the idea that mile...
Sell LP's: No visible scuffs. Let buyer remove static if needed?
Elliot, I see now that I completely mis read your original post. Mea culpa. 1000 apologies to you.
Sell LP's: No visible scuffs. Let buyer remove static if needed?
I don’t doubt for a minute that you make an earnest effort to remove static, but my point is that static happens over and over again. The person to whom you sold an LP may introduce a static charge simply by the method with which he handles the LP...
Sell LP's: No visible scuffs. Let buyer remove static if needed?
You are dreaming to think you can “remove static“ and then ship the LP to someone who will then have a static free LP. Static does not work that way. You will be making a big mistake if you try to guarantee no static. As to everything else you are...

Should have written "...that in my opinion are closer to snake oil...."Others are free to decide for themselves.
