Headphones for sound control A dedicated headphone amp should generally sound better than the headphone socket on another kind of component. I'm sure Ayer does tell you that the Ayer headphone driver is very good, and for what it is, it probably is. But if it's not a headpho...
Oh no, say it ain't so. There sure are a lot of folks I've seen on many a forum over many a year who would answer in the affirmative to most if not all of these 10 points. A couple probably apply to me, too.
Western Electric 300B Tube Problems I have a pair of the newer WE 300B tubes in my headphone amp, and they've been perfect for the past few years; no trouble at all. But wow, what a difference they made to my amp over Gold Lions or JJ's; made it sound like the next higher model in t...
The new dCS Varese DAC...it is so good that all others are now relegated to history?? That's one of those companies that sued a YouTube reviewer who said something subjective about their product they didn't agree with. I would never buy a product from a company that did that. dCS or MSB? Hmmm. They made it easy for me.

New Fritz Speakers: Carerra R @j_andrews - I had a pair of Carrerra BE's and I enjoyed them very much while I had them. I ended up selling them in a speaker upgrade a couple years ago. @tksteingraber - Fritz is great to chat with, yeah? When I bought my Carrerra's, he brough...

Hearing aids for audiophiles or musicians? Most any good hearing aid brands have multiple programs, and usually one of them is 'music', that you can work with your audiologist on EQ'ing to get the best sound for you. Like other audio gear, different people will prefer different things. I'v...
Getting started with Headphone system; what are the basics I think most headphone amps have at least a volume control and an input selector. All of mine do. I have external DAC's, though.

Some people actively participate but rarely if ever start a thread. For me, same reason I like editing something that already exists than to start with a blank page....
Vinyl sounds better (shots fired) Vinyl treated well and kept clean should have few if any clicks and pops. I don't mind getting up every 20 minutes to cross the room - I need the exercise! I like vinyl, digital, whatever; first and foremost is the MUSIC. |
