Hum and hiss with Rives Parc
??? The PARC was one of the most dead silent components I've ever used. Have you tried bypassing the power conditioner and just plugging it into the wall?
bi-amping question
It is not the wattage you have to match; it is the sensitivity and gain. That said, you will find it hard to do without introducing a gain control on one or the other amp (whichever has the higher gain). Whatever.Kal
Best Line conditioner under $1000 used
Run the dedicated line(s) and then see if you need to add anything. I experienced much improvement in the sound after doing so in our 100year+ old house. After all, conditioners are only needed to correct something on the AC.BTW, while you are at ...

Dreadnaught a Bit Bright?
Not really but all the Theta amps I've heard have a slightly forward and lively sound. Not heard them on Aerials.Kal
Great cinematic audiophile moment
Saw The Italian Job (on the free Showtime HD weekend) and noted the early references to the desire for a stereo system (with "Burr-Brown DACs") that would blow off a woman's clothes. At the end, the guy gets his system but with big Martin-Logan sp...
Amplifier hum: Does it need repair?
Before I put in a dedicated line and really solved my ground loop problems (which I had been masking with a so-called ground loop interrupter), I had intermittant hum/noise directly from the eVo6 chassis when certain halogen or fluorescent lamps w...
