if you had this system, what would you do to make it sound the best you can
This is difficult to decide because better speakers, DAC, or analog front end (turntable/arm/cartridge) would yield noticeable sonic improvements.
Not to be missed at Axpona
+1 Volti Lucera speakers, but Volti doesn’t appear in the 2024 AXPONA spreadsheet list. T+A Solitaire S Series Line Source Loudspeakers - reviews say it’s fast/effortless like a panel speaker but also has the weight/pressure of box speakers, and ...
The Midnight Effect - Who-How?
There are only so many external influences on audio systems that work like clockwork, so it’s likely changes in electricity usage/noise causing it. Others have also reported better improving sonics from evenings to nighttime
Any one measured the EMI/RFI attenuation performance of audiophile power conditioners?
Otherwise if they publish the data then people can easily point out the issues with their asking price and actual performance. @audio_phool you answered your own question. While data might be useful to customers, it will not be beneficial to th...
How would you spend my next $5K?
+1 2nd sub LPS for m-scalar next or also.
Starting a second system, need efficient speaker suggestions.
+1 Volti - clean, clear, highly efficient.  Heard the Razz at 2 major audio shows - sounded fantastic. I own the Rival. For 40wpc triod, you’ll need an efficient to highly efficient speakers, and for the budget of 4K, very few choices.  Klipsch H...

Are You A Disciplined Audiophile?
I have plenty of “will” power, it’s the “won’t that’s the problem Center Stage footers requires a lot of patience as break-in is lengthy an and a sonic roller coaster before finally settling
BAT VK3500 vs. Hegel H590
@macg19  The only way to scratch that curiosity itch is to try it out yourself, only you know what your sonic preferences are.  I’m a fan of Hegel+Harbeth combo. T+A PA 3100HV - excellent choice, great price/performance.
Need help choosing my first amp for my first speakers
@jcjcjcjcjcjcjcjcjcjcjcjc  An audio chain usually consists of a source (turntable, digital DAC, FM tuner, tape), preamplifier (sometimes optional), amplifier, speakers.  An “integrated” amp has both a preamp+amp, and sometimes includes a DAC, str...
How important is the efficiency of a speaker to you?
@rauliruegas I think we need to be more clear as to what we are discussing when it comes to lower sensitivity. There is little question that a lot of great speakers are in the less efficient camp, meaning that they are not in the 100db/w mode, bu...
