Any experience with the Aspen Soraya Amplifier? Sorry to dig up this old thread, but which version of the Soraya have you heard? Is it the earlier version or the 2009 version? I guess the 2009 version has some improvements. Not sure if those include a better treble extension or detail retrieval.
Balanced vs Unbalanced? I have amps that have been reported to run best in balanced mode, but I couldn't really hear a difference. These days my preamp (Herron VTSP-3A)does not have balanced outs so it is not even a possibility. With that said, I don't care, my preamp is...
any early 80's alt/soft punk fans out there? I like this music. What about a couple of bands from down under from that era/genr? Anyone remember The Church? They were a big on college radio in the late 80s and had a top 20 hit, Under The Milky Way. That song is also in the Donnie Darko sound...
SS amp - which one ??? I agree with Jax, if your looking for something like a tube sound the KWA 150 is the ticket. It is a best of both worlds amp. However that may be out of his price range. Also, funny Jax should mention the V5XE from Ayre . I just listened to this y...
Tidal Speakers owners Sorry Argyro, you get to suffer the wait like the rest of us. We all had to do it. Enjoy that anticipation feeling. :)
WLM Diva Monitor -- Personal Experience? Isn't Red Wine Audio just a couple of hours away? They carry the line and they have a new demo room. I own the La Scala model. This is a very good speaker line that you should try to listen to. Good luck.
Tidal Speakers owners Sorry Argyro, but I just dropped a sub in the system a couple of days ago so I am still working on repositioning. I may not have to do anything at all, but either way I will post my measurements/position in the room.
Herron VTSP-3A Indeed Fig. Congrats on becoming a dealer. A little more commentary on the preamp. People need to ignore the price on the VTSP-3a. If you think it cost to much and you are one of those caught up in this hobby (as most on this board are), it will a...
Tidal Speakers owners I'd say I listen at 75-80. Do you have a preference in music or do you listen to a lot of genre's?
Tidal Speakers owners Mike, just curious. What is the size of your room?
Tidal Speakers owners Hi Mike. I have the Piano Classic, which I assume is somewhat similar to the Cera. From my experience, it takes at least 500 hours before they come into their own. They will sound good up until that time, but they kind of take on a new life after ...
Finding a Power Cord that sounds great Lessloss(Signature) is the first PC that made a really noticable change for me. Other power cords have made subtle differences, but the LessLoss was another animal altogehter. Plus, I think they are priced at a value as well. Lots of choices thoug...
Tidal Speakers owners Congrats Argyro. Now is he hardest part for you, I mean you got a taste the Tidals and now you have all of this waiting a head of you. Just know it is darn worth it.
Sub Question Zanon, would a Rel be a high pass sub? I tried to google but came up empty. thanks.
Sub Question Thanks for the responses so far, but I don't think we have adressed my original question. Does a sub indirectly help or improve the sound or frequencies by taking pressure off of the speakers? |
