My old wavelength audio DAC is still usable The MQA files you are listening too aren't just MQA they are also new remasters so they may just sound better. Are you able to observe the sampling rate when you play the MQA's?
My old wavelength audio DAC is still usable Because your Wavelength Dac is a good sounding well designed Dac with a good analog output stage. The Dac in the Node is compromised by its not very good analog output stage and overall noisy environment. What digepix says is correct you would nee...
Siegfried Linkwitz Passes Brilliant designer his Audio Artistry Beethoven was the first speaker I really lusted after reading the Stereophile review back in 97! RIP.
What were your humble beginnings on the path to high end audio? When I was little my folks had a stereo some type of receiver, Japanese I am pretty sure and a turntable I don't remember anything about the components or speakers. That was it for stereo's in my life no idea what happened to that stuff. Bought my...
Stillpoints - snake oil? It's a bit mind boggling that some of the measurements or die crowd here don't believe in vibration control and isolation? That's pretty solid science what's the objection exactly?

streamers under $1500 I have an Auralic Aries Mini and love it I don't think you can get it anymore but the big brother the Aries G1 is around and new about $1500 and used around $1K. Sounds great and the Lightning DS app is a pleasure to use.
Just wanted to introduce myself. Yes welcome Ryan! Fascinated by reel to reel just not enough room here for one and the reels seem so expensive. But they sound amazing!
Burt Reynolds has passed away I saw that and so sad he was always one of my favorites growing up. I loved the Smokey and the Bandit movies as a kid. Seemed like a super nice genuine guy too RIP.
Another amateur in need of advice @cleanshirt Are there any dealers near you? I spent a lot of years buying used gear here flipping moving onto the next thing. After years of bringing stuff into my local dealer to repair and listening I came to realize had I gone there first taken...
Auralic Aries Mini sporadic crackling/static on co axial output. It’s funny you mention this I’ve had my Mini for a few years now and always used the RCA coax outputs. Never had a problem until recently with very occasional static-y sounds usually when I’ve been playing it for a long time. But maybe like once o...
