Stealth Audio Dream Petite
The Stealth cables have more detail than the VD line, but the VD line has more dynamic impact. I was originally impressed with VD cords/cables for their dynamic, powerful presentation. However, I find them to be too forward, and the soundstage too...

04-07-08: TriggWOW, either everybody is T'd off at Luidas or waiting on their cords to arrive to do their review. I would have thought given the amount of "excitement" that folks would be "blowing" up this thread more like the Synergistic threadWh...
Review: Stealth Cables Dream Petite Speaker cable
Renaat, I'm glad you are enjoying your new Petite's. It sounds like they may be worth investigating one day. FWIW, did your pair of MLT's have the optional cryogenic treatment? I ask because the previous pair of MLT's I owned did not have the cryo...

Hey Chris (Cpk), I just realized from reading your posts and finally your for sale ads that you are Mr. Tel Wire.I've heard good things about your cords from my AudiogoN friends Grant (Tvad) and Tony (Clio09). Since you are so close to me proximit...
What is under $5k speaker with best bass slam?
A pair of used Legacy Focus, with (3) 12" woofers in each speaker cabinet, and bass down -3db @ 16hz should rattle your windows.Cheers,John
BAT VK55 vs VK 60
Tom, if Victor can squeeze more power out of a smaller, lighter VK-55 than the larger, heavier VK-75, the only answer physically would be to lower the bias. Perhaps the VK-55 does not run in triode, I can't say, but physics is physics.I also agree...

Cpk, thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind. As I mentioned before though, Bob does not seem to be a believer in burn-in hours on repeat play, or even cable cookers. He says the unit needs 'cycling', turning on/turning off. Especially to break...

Rodman99999, Bob actually advises against the playing pink/white noise on repeat. He says that the components will break in faster using standard turn on/off cycle methods....FWIW. I don't know, I used to use the constant pink/white noise method f...

Well, I've had my BAT VK-75SE amp back from Bob for one week now, and only have about 14 hours on it, so I guess I should chime in here. I did just get off the phone with Bob, and I'll pretty much just sum up what I told him here. The most immedia...
Soundstage of Marantz SACD players
Hi Peter,None taken... I have never heard the SA-1, but I hope to one day. I have heard several other Marantz players, all have a deep 3-D soundstage, which I enjoy. The OP seems to want to keep the Marantz tonality while moving the soundstage mor...
Soundstage of Marantz SACD players
I never said he needed the VD Genesis power cord. You can find used Virtual Dynamics and DCCA cords for less than $100 on the used market. Though I do know a few fellows that have spent more money on cables than equipment, and swear by it. Differe...
Soundstage of Marantz SACD players
I don't think another Marantz player will solve your dilemma. I own a modified SA-11S1, and it's deep, relaxed, 3-D soundstage is one of the reasons I like it. It sounds like you want a cd player with a more forward presentation. I'd recommend you...
