Keep in mind that many listeners find the Diamondbacks to be somewhat bright/harsh.

I agree with the above comment on the Adcom. If you like the CV-8, I would check out getting two pair of whatever IC that AQ considered to be the equivalent of the CV-8. 
Cable Upgrade: Too much transparency
I have never found the Diamondback to be a particularly transparent cable. 
Fixing Vandersteen 2c's?
Do you like Vandersteen speakers? While lots of people like tham a lot, many don't like them at all. Make sure all this work and expense is worth it to you.

If your budget includes the Aerial 7t, you should also check out the Dali MS5, a significant improvement over the MS4.

He had the original 400, and while for the price it was quite good, the MS4 was significantly better in all ways, as it should at double the price.

If you like the Aerial 6, the 7b and 8b have a very similar sound and are a lot more speaker for your room. I have owned all three and still have the 7b. I believe the Dali MS4 is way better than the Helicon 400. I owned the MS4, actually replaced...
