New Generation Class D - AGD Audion Mkiii upgrade I have the AGD preamp in my home right now running it on my existing Class A amplifier. All I can say is it's simply superb in almost every way. I could stop right here and be perfectly satisfied but alas I am going to listen to the Audions courte...
Impressions of AGD the Audion MKII Mono Amps @twoleftears Have you tried your Tempo with the AGD pre? It's an incredible preamp as well.
After 50 years, I have finally found my destination amps... AGD Audions! @mglik Do you still have your Audions?
LTA microZOTL or Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.3? @soix Not gonna go round and round with you in this and argue what I say or you say is fact, anything on a forum is an opinion. You like LTA (I do too) all the power to you...And me.
LTA microZOTL or Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.3? @soix Well for starters I've heard LTA...But mainly because of Backerts approach to the power supply which is everything in hifi.
LTA microZOTL or Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.3? @panerai557 15db is still alot of gain, depending on the amp and 30 is ton of gain. Most Preamps are 11-12 max. Personally I think the Backert is the better design over the LTA, should have sprung for that.
Duelund Tinned Copper Speaker Cables @williewonka Bryston is overall bright gear, it’s not the cables it’s the Integrated.
Circle Labs A200 Integrated amplifier review - It will appeal to both tube and SS lovers…… I am sure Circle Labs is great gear, given the experiences I have had with the dealer who used to distribute them I am not the least bit surprised there was a falling out. I’ve been in hifi for longer than I care to share, certainly longer than t...
Innuos PULSE Mini? Demoing one right now in my home now as a digital front end alternate to my Turntable. My analog rig in total is $10k + in cost, (rega p10 and Umami Red) and while it does some different things digital just can not replicate, this little Pulse is ...
Reynaud Bliss Jubile vs Cantabile Jubile Reporting back that after some time breaking these speakers in all that shoutiness went away and they sound simply wonderful. Break in is real, and with these speakers it's real LONG. Once they are burned in though they are simply the best monitor...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge @badgerdms Safe to say you are referring to my post and safe to say you didn’t read it. No need to get defensive, every speaker you own isn’t necessarily for everyone else. Nothing amiss since I plopped the JMRs and they sound glorious. I would...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge I got a set of 30.2s had them 3 weeks before I sold them. Most boring speaker I have ever listened to, to be fare I was likely underpowering them with my Sugden amp. I wouldn't have like them either way. Ended up with a pair of JM Reynauds an...
Reynaud Bliss Jubile vs Cantabile Jubile I just took delivery of the JMR Jubilee Bliss (with magic stands) a few days ago, maybe 20 hours on them thus far. Initial impressions were they were nice right out the box, but were stiff. All the things you mentioned about the tweeter and shouti...
Kumza Stabi S or Rega P10 ?? Been running the p10 for a solid few weeks now every day. Love the table, love the catridge. Happy with the choice. Compliments my gear VERY well. I put the P10 on an HRS, not sure it even needed it but sure looks nice. 😂 Overall set and forget i...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge @larryi Thanks, this helps, sort of validates what I am thinking as well. I am going to probably buy both and listen for a while then keep which ever I like most. The Falcons were where I started this journey but somehow got convinced the Har... |
