Reynaud Bliss Jubile vs Cantabile Jubile
Reporting back that after some time breaking these speakers in all that shoutiness went away and they sound simply wonderful. Break in is real, and with these speakers it's real LONG. Once they are burned in though they are simply the best monitor...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge
@badgerdms Safe to say you are referring to my post and safe to say you didn’t read it. No need to get defensive, every speaker you own isn’t necessarily for everyone else. Nothing amiss since I plopped the JMRs and they sound glorious. I would...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge
I got a set of 30.2s had them 3 weeks before I sold them. Most boring speaker I have ever listened to, to be fare I was likely underpowering them with my Sugden amp. I wouldn't have like them either way.    Ended up with a pair of JM Reynauds an...
Reynaud Bliss Jubile vs Cantabile Jubile
I just took delivery of the JMR Jubilee Bliss (with magic stands) a few days ago, maybe 20 hours on them thus far. Initial impressions were they were nice right out the box, but were stiff. All the things you mentioned about the tweeter and shouti...
Kumza Stabi S or Rega P10 ??
Been running the p10 for a solid few weeks now every day. Love the table, love the catridge. Happy with the choice. Compliments my gear VERY well. I put the P10 on an HRS, not sure it even needed it but sure looks nice. 😂 Overall set and forget i...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge
@larryi    Thanks, this helps, sort of validates what I am thinking as well. I am going to probably buy both and listen for a while then keep which ever I like most. The Falcons were where I started this journey but somehow got convinced the Har...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge
@ryder    Thanks Ryder, nice to hear from a long time owner. In all the years I've been in hifi I have not owned them or quite honestly given them a critical listen. My tastes have changed over the 25 years or so in hifi and these two speaker mo...
Harbeth 30.2 or Falcon Gold Badge
@deadhead1000    Thanks for the feedback. I listen to alot of that same music so good to know you're enjoying them. I plan to add a KC62 sub to whatever smaller speaker I get.
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
Got the other phono stage, it does NOT have the Buzzing noise, and as I mentioned it is not a current sensing phono, rather a voltage regulating. It’s a great phono stage, but the Konus is better, and the difference is not small. Dynamics are bett...
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
@dover Will do, Thanks for the tip.
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
Thanks guys..I have another Phono stage coming tomorrow. Tron Convergence, which is not a current sensing. Gonna shoot em out and obviously listen for any noise from the Tron. Will report back.  Not writing off the Konus 1000 yet, it's a really g...
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
@dover    Where did you get the information that Rega will make a balanced arm? Their US distributor is stating they have NEVER done that for anyone.
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
@lewm    It just means it's not to earth (see plug on Rega power supply), it's floating because it's using the ground of the other piece of equipment through the RCA rather than the neutral wire of the power supply on the power supply itself. So...
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
@dover   Thank you Dover!! Yes I’d prefer them to do it since they chose this stupid method of grounding that creates limitations. The one thing I will say for Rega is they support the heck out of their products. I love the TT so I don’t want ...
Current sensing phono stages w/Rega?
@hleeid    I am using the Hana Umami Red. My table has not been rewired, I am referring to the fact Rega uses a floating ground and doesn't use a balanced connection when I say that.  I've tried a few combinations and the hum is still very pres...
