Jimmy Page, It's time to call your lawyers?
Well said Wolf!
Jimmy Page, It's time to call your lawyers?
The reviews are both serious and funny. I listened to Memphis Minnie and Bukka White on my ride home. Zeppelin did not copy anything but their lyrics and general chord progressions. The arrangements, production, vocals, and so on were theirs. That...
Back to the drawing board
I bought a REL T9i just a couple weeks ago. I cannot comment on SVS or  paradigm or rymthik.  I didn't audition any others than REL--full disclaimer.  But I do have a small Sumiko (similar to REL).  So, we must keep in mind that I've only heard h...

I checked in with my friends who love music. They are evenly split on their opinions—like versus skip them. I’m closer on the spectrum to these opinions. https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/greta-van-fleet-anthem-of-the-peaceful-army/https://www....

My brain wants me to sing “Your Time is Gonna Come” during “Flower Power”. It’s so uncanny a resemblance.
Jimmy Page, It's time to call your lawyers?
While Zeppelin stole and borrowed, they didn’t copy. I don’t think Plant or Page tried to sound just like Bukka White, Wllie Dixon or the countless others they stole from. I’m making a nuanced but important point. Listen to the production. Listen ...

Agreed teo_audio!  To be clear, I love Zeppelin.  I respect how good of musicians these guys are, but the LZ body of work stands on its own.  I don't need more bands like LZ.
What Is Better In General, Sonos Or Say A Network Streamer By Cambridge Audio?
+1 on Bluesound.  The sound and features are fantastic. I think the software could be better though.
why a high end phono preamp?
A quality phono preamp makes a huge difference.  I didn't hear vinyl for what it could be until I got a great one.  I don't think you have to spend a fortune but it is a necessity if you want great sounding vinyl.  I think a lot of folks get into ...
Am I asking too much?
I feel for you! I hope you get this figured out.  I would not like or tolerate substantial levels of hiss.  I had a problem with a ground hum before, but never audible hiss.  Can you try someone else's amp?
What are your notes and thoughts on The Beatles White Album Giles Martin remaster?
Geoffkait, are you a hipster buying casettes!!??
Recommendations for an MC cart on Audiogon
Man, I hate to violate two of my own soft rules on posting but here goes. 1. (Being a Fanboy Rule):  Look at the AudioTechnica ART9. It's a superb moving coil cartridge.  I cannot recommend it highly enough.  Do some research and see what is said ...
Ahhh--Problem solved. Adding a REL sub-bass unit...
Very interesting comments to my OP. I have to say that in my system (with two different sets of speakers and 3 different amps--tube, class D and class G), the system always sounds better using REL/Sumiko’s recommended way of sending the signal fro...
What are your notes and thoughts on The Beatles White Album Giles Martin remaster?
Thanks All!I listened to it on Tidal and was super impressed. I'm putting it on my Christmas list for sure.  Some of the Ascher demoes are really interesting.
I like my system flat, no tone controls, no eq..........what is your preference, and why.
Like Wolf, I shelled out the $150 for the Loki.  I use it sparingly between my DAC and my tube integrated.  When using it, it's most often to push the bass up a tad (to about 1 or 2 o'clock) in the form of a makeshift loudness button when I'm list...
