300B Warmup versus other tube or SS amps?
@lowrider57,  Great question! Maybe someone with more tech experience than us will chime in.
So do you need music to test the speed of your drivers?
Hi n80Good question.  I would say speed means can your drivers keep up with fast, heavy percussive/rhythm passages?  The amp is arguably tested here too. Do the loudspeakers keep pace or do they fall apart?  Do they break a sweat, so to speak?  Or...

I have used KT150s but not KT120s so I can’t comment on how 120s compare.
Audiophile x 5 months.
Yes. The Bluesound product can play music from an external hard drive.
How much difference will a phono stage upgrade make?
@12hz,   Yes you have great options to be excited about.  I really cannot comment on stuff I haven't heard and all of it you are getting recs for is solid by reputation.  All I can say is my Chinook is superlative.  I adore it.  It sits quietly in...
Recommendations on stuff to look at for upgrading a 300B SET amp
@cal3713   I took sick the day before my appointment to hear the LM stuff.  I have to reschedule it because I have to drive 4 hours to hear them--even though I'm in the third largest city in the US.

The blue glow--even though it has nothing to do with anything sonic (or likely doesn't)--is pretty sweet indeed.  Super cool.  I thought I'd lay low on the blue glow because the sonics of the tube are enough of a sell for us.  The blue glow is soo...

@12hz, I have the Primaluna and a Manley Chinook.  I've used the Chinook with it, a homemade 300B amp, Creek Evolution 100, NAD M22, and a Schitt Freya.  The Chinook makes a huge difference.  I still think of it (over speakers, tubes, and amps) as...

@noromance ,Yes, I do really like these tubes.  Many times I'm not so sure or as passionate because there are many fine tubes that don't stand out in any meaningful way for me.  These stand out.  I've isolated my findings to the power tubes.  Even...
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
Disagree with him BUT love the absurdity of his post.  I love differing opinions BTW.Where is Wolf-Garcia?  Disclaimer:  I own Forte IIIs and they are dynamic, sensitive, compelling, full range and romantic.

Wolf, downright beautiful post.  You should be a reviewer. Way better than the drivel we see in the hifi porn magazines. :)

A DAC that can make digital sound analog?
OP, I had the same issue and question on two threads. I see splenty of great recommendations above. I seriously considered 3 of them. Unltimately I went with a Doge 7 tube DAC.  I’m not a pro reviewer and so much of this is subjective so I can’t t...

$600 new seems high for 8 GL KT77s. I thought they were about $40 a copy.

Wolf, if you do not like them I could buy them off you.  But seeing as they are $30 a pop not a huge loss, which is why folks should try them out.  I love KT150s but at over $100 a pop they are a bigger risk for folks.  And Wolf you are making me ...
